Started reading and life got in the way. Excellent detail that gives the overview to research more of chosen specifics. Easy to read.

this is actually a potted history of the Roman Empire. It assumes quite a lot of prior knowledge and also that the reader is familiar with modern Rome. Neither of which is me, so only 2 stars.
