Lacey Thorn spends her days in small town Indiana the proud mother of three. When she is not busy with one of them she can be found typing away on her computer keyboard or burying her nose in a good book. Like every woman she knows just how chaotic life can be and how appealing that great escape can look. So toss aside the stress and tension of the never ending to do list.
I read it few years ago. when I review menage, steamy sex scenes count more towards the ratings. This book and the series had a lot of those and I think in interesting places. Besides the steamy scenes, I think other elements, like the mystique, conquering male species making the island's women their own and a sexy wedding tradition, were interesting. I can't exactly remember how the final book turned out but I would re-read the series again because I liked the amalgam of all above listed elements. And the sex scenes were good.
Super cheesy... the writing was pretty bad (I hate it when an author repeats the same word again and again in a simple paragraph)... the dialogues where laaaaame! I don't care about Erika and I wouldn't mind if Galen was killed... I do like Arik though. The bad girl wasn't bad at all... and I think the only good thing about this book were the steamy scenes... and even those didn't make sense sometimes..
I hoped for a thrilling mix between a erotic read with a nice intrigue plot. At the beginning the plot sounds great and intriguing. When you read into the story, the characters and history of the world adds to the mystery of what the Guardians are. Why thy're created etc.
Then they get married and the story dissolves a bit. The sex scenes get longer and repetitive. Plot holes and details get lost. Thorn adds parts to the plot but its never picked up again. Character lines become cheesy, relations between the main characters and others become cheesy and overdone especially in regards to parental figures in the series. Thorn on so many points and plot twists expanded and developed about Altir. In leaving those points so open it leaves you feeling flat and disappointed.
Overall its a good start for the series, but I won't recommend going beyond this book. The plot holes only get larger. Character actions and scenes doesn't change or evolve. Everything becomes more and more about repetition and restating what one already knows over and over throughout the whole book. By the time you get to the last book the urge to just skip the sex and read for the plot is enormous. If anything just read the first and last novel of the series for all you need to know to satisfy an ending.
I think really well of this book, i'm excited about this series, and i am definitely going to complete all five of these books before drawing any conclusion. I read some of the past reviews where they said that there's too much sex in the book. Well, Ellora's Cave particularly rated this as an E-rotic Book and very clearly stated that the sex is graphic and in higher volumes as compared to the rest of the content. It was pretty obvious what you were going to find in there. Then there is no point in giving the book just one star and stating that there was too much sex... you know what you bargained for. The plot, i admit, was vague at some places, but i'm sure, the mystery will resolve itself once we get to the other books in the series as you will lose a big chunk of the plot if you skip any of the books or read it out of order... Overall, a very good plot, believable characters, and although it was super cliched at some points, that's what sometimes romantica genre's all about. Wooing and lovemaking is a cliched subject. Very few people discover & invent new stuff in this section... if its not BDSM.

A powerful story makes this erotic romance about so much more than sex. It's been a while since the plot of an erotic romance kept me reading long after I should have gone to bed. Earth Moves was packed full of danger and tension. There were scenes that had my heart pounding with fear for the characters.
Lacey Thorn's writing is smooth and fast paced. The world she has created held me captive. I loved the alpha warriors and the complicated dynamics between the Island-native females the warriors have dominated. No wilting flowers among them. These are strong women who understand when to fight and when to feign cooperation.
Earth Moves had themes of faith, coming of age, and sexual exploration with mated partners. It was sweet and sexy and full of action. A great read that goes a little dark in places, which is what I love when I can find it.
Erika lives on an island that was cursed when it was invaded by a warriors. The island is cursed until 5 Guardians come to save it. The warriors are born as twins or triplets and together claim their mate when the woman reaches her 21st birthday. Galen and Arik have known Erika since she was 10 and Galen saved her from being kidnapped and have planned to mate with her ever since. Erika wants nothing to do with them, though her fathers have promised her to them. This book is a little bit story and a lot of bit sexy times. I did enjoy both, although the sexy times became somewhat repetitious. Erika is one of the Guardians, and I'm guessing each book features a different one.
Woww.. Wait a minute.. Nope... I wont be able to write down a serious comment about the plot. Ridiculous really... Nothing made sense.. I hated the chacarecters, dialogs were soooo lame. The plot was based on the motto "If you cannot prevent rape, then enjoy it". There were so many things going on and the chacaracters were like "Lets have lots of sex first, then we can talk". The only reason I am not givin just one star is that steamy scenes were fine mostly. (When they were not talking about the "warriors sword" haha)
This book had/has serious potential. Unfortunately it is overshadowed by too much sex. Yeah, I said that. Me, of all people! I know, crazy, right?! I didn't mind the sex itself (and when I say there was a lot of it, there was A LOT!!!), I just felt that it over-powered what could have been an intriguing story. I'd like to try the second in this series, and probably will at some point...once I tackle my ever growing TBR pile.
I thought that premise was good, but the execution not so much. I even got tired of the same sex scenes repeated over again and again. I've read much better menage and much better fantasy romance, but it was horrible, just ok. However, I will say that I am interested in how this series progresses because the actual plot to the series is very good.
I enjoyed the world-building in this novella/series. It's unlike anything else that I've been reading in the last little while. The writing was quite good, the emotions carried through very clearly. I loved the heroes and the story arc with the evolution of the heroine's feelings towards them. I would like to read more of the series, but the books are just so expensive.
Kindle freebie. This was pretty good. I have been less then impressed with free books recently but this one was different. I will continue reading this series.
Author Lacy Thorn takes you into a wonderful world of Guardians. She keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat as you leads you through this suspense filled tale. I highly recommend this read!!!
I’m not really into Sci-Fi reads but I liked this one. I liked all the characters. The pace of the book was good. Good story line. I wanna read the next.
