Jaelyn Storm has been a writing enthusiast and a bibliophile for nearly as long as she can remember. She started writing gay erotica in high school, though she will admit that it she was not very good at it back then.

She lives in Chicago with her husband, whom she adores. She likes anime and manga, thinks yaoi is divine, and is a sci-fi buff. She is the perfect mate for her closet nerd of a husband, and they can be found haunting all types of "nerdy" conventions.

A typical short festive read.

Bobby was adorable and I loved Mike. Lucas and Veronica were cute too.

Started out strong but I lost a lot of my enjoyment once they had sex. After that the dialogue seemed stilted and just rushed to round the story off.

I could of done without the evil bitch ex of Lucas. Really is it so hard to write out a mother without making her the devil incarnate or killing her off?. Oh and lets not forget the evil grandparents that pay the slimeball ex, who wasn't an ex at the time, to lie in court and claim Mike was a paedophile. So not needed in a happy holiday fic.

Would of gone with a 3 star if it had lost the Homophobic evil cast.

The starting point of the story is pretty classic, the kid best friends who ask to Santa to find a partner for their fathers as Christmas wish. The twist is that both fathers are gay and it's pretty obvious that Santa's work is easy, since the natural conclusion can be only that the two get together.

So let talk of the nice things apart the love story. First of all the nicest things are the two kids, a girl, Veronica, and a boy, Bobby. They are too old for their age. Veronica's mother left after discovering his husband betrayal and homosexuality: yes Lucas, Veronica's father, was a cheater, but it's a past thing, and then he obviously didn't love his wife; and if someone wants to start the discussion on why he married if he was gay, well, can we admit that this is a more common event than not?

Mike's story is a little different: openly gay he was Bobby's uncle; when his twin sister and her husband died in an accident, Mike found out that he was Bobby's guardian. Bobby's relatives from his father's side questioned his right as Bobby's guardian and arrived also to make him arrested for child abuse. Paying a good lawyer Mike won, but now he is paying of high bill and few friends remain around him.

Till now the story was interesting but pretty classic. The twist arrives with the yaoi elements: Mike is almost an androgynous character, the perfect uke; shy when arriving to sex, he has an unquestionable hidden predisposition, he also perfomed in drag before stopping to avoid problem with Bobby's guardianship. But Lucas, who was aroused to his inner desires by a Japanese first male lover, finds Mike's very intriguing, and all his alpha male instincts are high and ready to hunt. And yes, in this case Mike is quite a "female in disguise" character, he is the mother type, he cooks, he is the housekeeper, he also wears a dress! but well, he is in character.

It's a bit strange to read of Lucas' naughty desire when all around is Christmas time, and there are kids writing "Dear Santa" letters and the atmosphere is more family like than anything else, but it's a nice counterpoint.

This short read was so much fun to read, I couldn't help smiling through it all and it doesn't hurt that I'm a sucker for Brady-Bunch-style... um... coupling. LOL

Summary: Dear Santa, Veronica’s Daddy and my uncle are sad and we want them to be happy. Can you please find someone for them? We know it won’t be easy, they are momosexyoualls… please help! Love, Bobby

What I liked about this read: How can you not love a story with a cute Dear Santa letter like that? I mean, really! :D Dads are hot, let's face it and when kids ask Santa for their parents to get together, you KNOW it's going to happen. I mean... he's SANTA!

Jaelyn Storm quickly brings you up to speed on how these two single fathers (though one is by proxy) ended up as single fathers and while I'd wished the story was longer, I did enjoy the quick read. It was like going for a quick, refreshing dip in the pool on a hot summer day before sitting down in front of the fan with a cool drink.

This read is what I image Gay Miracle on 34th Street to be like... hell, it's the way Miracle on 34th Street SHOULD have been like! Every good daddy man deserves another equally hot and sexy daddy man. Just sayin'!

Excerpt: “Hold up, Mike,” he ordered, and then walked over to him with determination.

Mike paused, turning around to see what Lucas wanted. He watched Lucas’s long legs eat up the distance between them and in the back of his mind, a stray thought alluded to the idea that he was caught in a spider’s web. There was just something so predatory in the determined way that Lucas moved toward him that made Mike nervous. He was so distracted that when Lucas finally spoke, he missed what was said.

“What?” Mike asked as if coming out of a fog.

“I said ‘mistletoe,’” Lucas repeated, pointing upward.

Lucas watched him look up, and then snatched Mike to him before the slighter man could really register what the words and the odd bundle of green leaves meant, and kissed Mike. Lucas poured everything he had into that kiss. The weeks of wanting and the months of yearning had built up
into something extremely volatile.

Mike felt the heat in Lucas’s kiss all the way down to his toes, making them curl. If there was any protest, then those soft, sweet lips scorched it out of Mike’s brain and had Mike pressing his body into Lucas, begging for more. He wanted to moan but his mouth was too busy for any sound to come out. Instead, he kissed Lucas back with an equal
passion.

As if they were connected mentally, both men sent their shirts flying, needing to feel the connection of skin against skin. When Mike felt Lucas’s hair-roughened chest against his own smoother torso, he shuddered and gasped. His nipples peaked instantly, flooding his body with an arousal that would not be denied. Pulling back, he licked and nibbled around the hard pectoral in front of him until he found a dusky, flat nipple wreathed in a light halo of hair.

Lucas groaned in response. His pants felt as if they were two sizes too small in the groin area and the small part of his mind that was able to think said that they had to go. Without breaking contact, Lucas unfastened his jeans and pushed them down his legs in a rough impatient gesture, taking his snug briefs with the denim. He kicked the pants away as he grabbed Mike and half-carried, half-dragged him to the couch.

Lucas dropped Mike on his back and then came down heavily between his legs, pinning the smaller man without hesitation. Lucas’s arousal was cradled in the valley of Mike’s pelvis. Mike could feel it rubbing against his own stiff member through the jeans he was wearing. Mike arched and bumped against him, wanting to be free of the heavy
material himself.

Lucas seemed to understand what Mike needed. He reached between them, opened the fly and fished out Mike’s cock. Mike arched into the big rough hand encircling him, loving being touched so intimately by this dream of a man. He loved it so much that a clear drop of pleasure slid down Lucas’s knuckles as he stroked the hard meat.

Mike was surprisingly gifted for his stature and incredibly responsive. Lucas had to taste him. Sliding down on the couch until his face was level with Mike’s need, Lucas took the wide head into his mouth, lapping at the tip and taking his first taste. Mike nearly came off of the couch. His other lovers had never done this for him and it both elated and humbled him that Lucas would give him such an intimate caress.

Restlessly, he kicked off his pants as he allowed himself to be carried away on waves of ecstasy. But he could only take just a few minutes of the pleasure before it quickly grew to be too much.

“Lucas, no, please,” he pleaded incoherently, unable to control his body.

“It’s okay; just let it happen,” Lucas whispered encouragingly before returning to driving the small man wild with his mouth.

Mike has custody of his six-year-old nephew after his twin sister Michelle and her husband Robert died. A nasty custody battle left Mike with a lot of lawyer bills and no lover but the most important thing is making sure that Bobby is happy. Lately what makes Bobby happy is the new friend he met at the park. Veronica and her father, Lucas Townsend, live in a brownstone near the park. Lucas is divorced after his ex-wife left him, and their daughter. Mike and Lucas have more in common than just being single parents ~ they are both gay and hoping to find love and family with the right person. Their first priority is the children, and since the kids are so close, Mike and Lucas have become friends as well. When Mike and Bobby are driven from their home on Thanksgiving, Lucas gives them a place to stay. Spending time together, the men get to know each other even better.

This is an enjoyable story with two adorable children and two men that are desperate to find love and create a family for their kids. I had fun reading this story, and wish it had been a lot longer! I am so fascinated by these characters that I want to know even more about them and their lives. A lot happens in this story so it isn't possible to send too much time on things but the focus of the story is the relationship between the men and the children and how they start to form a family without even realizing it. Both Mike and Lucas try so hard to shield the kids from things they struggle with, but the children know they aren't happy and make a particularly beautiful Christmas wish. These six-year-olds craft quite a note for Santa (one that I am not sure my niece would be able to write and she is pretty darn smart), but even if it is slightly beyond their age, it serves its purpose in a very cute way. The kids could care less that their father and uncle love men, they just want them to find someone and be happy. The innocence and caring of children is always beautiful and this is a perfect example. I read through this story quickly and am anxious to read more from this author. This is a beautiful Christmas story about family and love.

Bobby is so funny and downrighT adorable. I love the description of Mike and Lucas and how 2 best friends being a little girl and a little boy end up being brother and sister when their guardian and father fall in love and decide to live together.

At first my heart broke for Mike and Bobby as all the luck just seem to get knocked out of their lives. Then their house burning down leads to them temporarily living with Lucas and Veronica and everything just turns out for the best.

the storyline had potential to be interesting but the weird, stilted conversation kind of ruined it for me. that and i had read the sequel (dear mr president) first and it was awful, so i wasnt feeling terribly generous. but it was kind of cute if i could talk myself into overlooking the writing style.
