I have read most of the Alpine books - reading them in order is highly recommended - and this one was definitely a memorable one. Not what I would consider a “cozy” mystery, and that is a selling point for this series, in my opinion. Great characters, good storyline, and an ending that makes me want to jump right into the next one.
WOW, ok did not see that coming. The mystery was really great but the changes in Emma's personal life went from "meh" to "OMG" in the matter of a page. Totally loved it. Can't wait to see the direction this takes.
I usually read her books and think nothing of them one way or the other. But this one may be the last. OMG! I really did not see this train wreck coming, and you won't either. Although, this was by far the BEST book in the series.
What a frustrating ending. Frustrating. Frustrating. I do not know if this is the last book I will read in this series or not. Actually, this book's whole story line was frustrating to me on some level.
Not much to distinguish this episode in the Alpine mystery series from others in the series except for the rather surprising ending. But even that seemed contrived and came too late with little development. Not the author's best effort but I will continue to read the series.
This episode is an example of why I am hooked on this series. The characters return in the continuing saga set in Alpine, Washinton. The mystery is once again solid and sometimes downright baffling. The ending is a shocker that makes me want to start on the next book right away.
