He does and does it with an awful lot of style. I very much recommend this series!
This is a wonderfully crafted story of fiction with plausibility. A Nice mystery is left at the end. I am driven by the author to get the next book to find out! How devil's he is. I was entertained and I am delighted with all the European culture on display. I have never been there myself.
I bought this book ahead of a trip to the Dolomites that I'm taking in a few weeks. I wasn't expecting a guide book, but I like reading good fiction about an area as well as books about where to eat and sleep etc.
This book is plot-heavy, and the author does a pretty good job in that regard. The premise is a bit improbable: two scientists working in the Dolomites discover a cure for heart disease without expensive surgeries - some are out to get the information, others to bury it so they can keep making wads of money on heart surgery etc etc. And agents good and bad shoot to kill in resolving the issue. And the plot kept me going i as you see I read it in two days - and not two flu days...
If you're looking for something beyond plot (and a sense even if fictional about the area, which I was interested in) buy it. If you're looking for interesting character development and great wriing, you won't find it here, I fear.
Completely different reasons for the main story line of a murder/thriller book gave this a different slant to interactions between many of the protagonists that kept me interested. The main villain was an unique perspective of evil personified but his ending left me a little flat. Still a recommended read.
The works in an amazing number of players into this tale. It combines romance with gut busting violence. Along the way the author brings in intriguing science.
