About the author

Elizabeth Dale always dreamed of being a writer, but somehow got sidetracked into studying for a physics degree. When her children were born, she returned to her dream and found she loved writing children’s books more than anything. She loves traveling and seeking inspiration for her stories. Having seen what a wonderful life she leads, two of her daughters have grown up to be children’s authors, too. Elizabeth Dale lives in West Sussex, England.

I used to read this book to my children who loved borrowing it from our local library. It always had me in tears. Such a beautiful book.

Aye, there was some of my delicious scrumpy, so I'm satisfied. If only there were some defeated blu mercenaries in the book too...

It was so emotional and I've loved the book ever since I was younger. It made me realize that pets don't live forever, so spend every moment with them as if it was their last. "Be with them and treasure each moment, who knows how much time they have left until they die."
This story had an impact on me and was very good. It was sad, but funny too, so it didn't make us hate the story or dislike the tragedy of the dog. Whoops spoiler there. For those ,who are reading this, I won't spoil it for you but you'll defintely love it! I know I did!
