This book was the best and most important programming book I have ever read. It had the highest impact on my career. I wrote very large programs for Unix, Windows, Novell Netware etc. using the knowledge.

The book was full of examples (short and concise) and the language was easy to understand. I was young but the book made me a professional C programmer at the time.

I now have a PhD in computer science but regard the book as the most important programming book of my life.
