Mozart Meets Santa

Rate this book
(Piano Collection). In the late 1980s producer Warren Schatz presented a series of theme records with the Hampton String Quartet. One of them was What If Mozart Wrote "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." The idea was to record a series of Christmas carols each written in the style of a different classical composer. The recording presented such a joyful twist on these holiday favorites that Cherry Lane borrowed the idea to create this unique songbook. We called on ace arranger David Pearl to envision some of the great Christmas songs as if they had been composed by the great composers. Includes 19 classics, including: Auld Lang Syne (in the style of Mozart) * Frosty the Snow Man (in the style of Chopin) * Silver Bells (in the style of Brahms) * Winter Wonderland (in the style of Bach) * and more!
