This book is long out of print, but details a number of fascinating stories involving 1920s-1930s gangsters and Agent Gus T. Jones.
I came to this book seeking more information about a gunfight in San Antonio, Texas, in December 1933, in which H.C. Perrow, a city detective, was shot by a member of the Baby Face Nelson gang. Jones arrested the only member of the gang who didn't flee immediately after the shooting.
Jones also arrested legendary bank robbery Harvey Bailey, and confiscated his Thompson .45 caliber submachine gun, which he went on to use in his law-enforcement career.
