War is raging in Europe, but it's life as normal in London's Junction cut - until a 15-year old girl is murdered in her own home. Was the killer, as the police suspect, the German lad lodging nearby? Or is there a deadly secret lurking beneath the surface of this close-knit community?
This is a light murder mystery set at the beginning of the Second World War. The plot works and the main protagonists are engaging. However there are so many characters who are so similar as to be almost indistinguishable and I kept getting muddled about who was who. This author later wrote under the name Liz Evans (her real name I believe) and I found those books much snappier and better edited.
