Morgan James travels with a patent medicine pedlar, is attacked by Indians, meets Annabel Lee, searches for a preacher and plays a part in the Battle of New Orleans in 1815.
This book reads like a 1950's comedy western. I'm not sure what audience it was truly written for, appears to be a children's book, but it has some bawdy humor that isn't really appropriate for young ones. Also, there are so many satirical situations that children would not understand. It was somewhat humorous, definitely silly and quite strange.
