I was impressed enough by the contents of the book to write a review.

Donald DeGracia has produced an easy-to-understand manual for the newcomer interested in astral traveling. The author describes three methods to achieve astral traveling: lucid dreaming, the trance method, and the visualization method.

In the book, the author describes the astral planes and recounts his experiences of astral traveling. Some readers may find reading through the author's descriptions of his astral adventures somewhat tedious; I, however, did not. I found some of my experiences reflected in his projections, and for the most part, enjoyed reading through them. It is rare to come across a book on astral traveling where the author wears his heart on his sleeve so openly and describes his subject with such enthusiasm.

In conclusion, leaving aside the author's brief mentions of astrology and reincarnation (neither of which I subscribe to), I found the book and its bibliography worthwhile reading and thank him for writing the book. However, I would caution: Astral traveling can be dangerous. Using different techniques to astral project, not mentioned in this book, one may awaken the dormant kundalini prematurely threatening one's health and encounter malignant entities by opening a door that is not so easy to close.

fantastic practical account of how to do out of body travel. A comprehensive guide for the explorer of inner space. Whether you believe in astral travel or lucid dreams it doesn't matter because it is and you can experience it yourself with this book as a guide. The guy who wrote this book has a PHD in Brain Physiology so all you ultra rationalists beware. The burgeoning brain science is just beginning to understand things that have been well documented in the east for thousands of years. Check this book out you won't be dissapointed and going to "sleep" may become a totally different world for you.
