This book aims to develop the student's ability to speak and write with confidence in a variety of ways. It covers levels 3 - 6 of the attainment targets for Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing. The book is divided into sections where emphasis falls on one major aspect of English, perhaps by way of a play or story, leading to progressive work in general language skills. Topics covered include sentence construction, dictionary use, punctuation, spelling and many more areas at this level of the English curriculum. Oral work - in line with the Speaking, Listening and types of writing is also covered.
