Surprisingly relevant for our times, despite being written in 1947

A good snapshot of some conservative thinking at the time that the Marshall Plan was a "retreat from the Truman Doctrine" which would result in decreased American living standards, higher real rates of taxation in the future and the weakening of private international finance. Didn't exactly end up playing out like that obviously.
