Three Dreams

Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

Here is a chronicle of dreams, the first being a vision of the world perfectly in subjection to--and in harmony with--the Christian God. The second is its opposite, a vision of the world of mere, brute materialism, devoid of spirit or transcendence. And the final dream depicts something like Redemptive History, with Providence at work, sure and ultimately triumphant despite the deceptive appearance of world events.

Moderately charming despite the many passages overly-derivative of Scripture and the text's generally super-spiritualized loftiness. Also, it's possibly I'm rating this book higher than it deserves simply due to the very attractive edition I have from 1912 (Fleming H. Revell Company).
