Sometimes naughty, sometimes nice, no one knows what to expect from this cowboy package!
Montana had never seen a man like Bridger Duvall before. Quiet as the rugged stranger kept, he sure had the whole town talking. Setting up stakes in Whitehorse proper, he was in for the long haul--and looking for a sweet, hardworking female to join his company. Laci Cavanaugh thought she could unravel the town's biggest mystery by working for him. But Bridger had other plans.
Whatever his angle was, Laci couldn't suss it out. After one murder threatened to spiral into more, the truth became scarce. On that Laci and Bridger could agree, even if their loyalties lay on different sides. Could they put their differences aside to ensure that everyone got what they wanted for Christmas?
B.J. Daniels started her life in Houston, Texas, before her family moved to Montana at age five. She grew up in a cabin in the Gallatin Canyon near Big Sky and later on Hebgen Lake near West Yellowstone. Because of her love for Montana, most of her books are set there. Born into a storytelling family, all she'd ever wanted to do was write stories. After a career as an award-winning newspaper journalist, she wrote and sold 37 short stories before she finally wrote her first book, ODD MAN OUT. Since then she has won numerous awards including a career achievement award for romantic suspense. She lives in Montana with her husband, Parker, two Springer Spaniels. When she isn't writing, she quilts, boats and. makes rope/fabric baskets. She always reads, loving to lose herself in a good book.
Bridger and Kacie's story was amazing! More of the Whitehorse sewing circle secrets are coming together. So much mystery, danger and suspense I had to put the book down a couple of times just to calm my heart down. The mystery around Spencer was definitely not what I was thinking. What a great read!
Another awesome book by B.J.Daniels. It will have you on the edge of your seat. I know I was on the edge of mine trying to figure out what all was going on and Spencer's motive for killing off his girlfriends.
Very entertaining read. Lots of suspense and intrigue. This series is fantastic. Looking forward to more of this series. Lots of adventure in each story.
Heart stopping and on the edge of your seat . On a quest to find out who his real mother is Duvall finds more then he want to; a place that really feels like home and a love at first sight that has him dumb founded.
Unbeknownst to me, this book is part of a series, and not the starting book. So, while the author made an effort to have a mini-recap, I still felt like I was missing some things about the characters.
I thought the story was pretty interesting and it had some good suspenseful moments plus I liked the setting. The heroine was as tenacious as a bull dog, but soon that turned to pig-headed stubbornness. She thought she knew who killed her friend, even though many people, clues and actions showed otherwise, so she twisted them around to suit her belief. It was so annoying that I ended up wondering what the hero saw in her. If her attitude had been toned down a few notches, it would have been more enjoyable for me. As it was, I really enjoyed the story, I really didn't enjoy the heroine.
I may or may not continue reading this series. There is a bit of a cliffhanger, but, as I mentioned above, this involves one of the characters from a previous story whose whole personal story is not known to me.
