Lahun: A town in Egypt 1800 BC, and the history of its landcape

Rate this book
This small book looks comprehensively at the archaeological sites at the entrance to the fertile Fayum province, surrounding the town of al-Lahun. The sites are all of great importance and range from the First to the Twenty-second Dynasty, including Kahun, one of the largest ancient town-sites excavated in Egypt. The author takes care to give equal attention to each of the sites, although the Middle Kingdom town has often eclipsed the smaller finds in previous reports.
