4.5 stars. This arc has some great character development that I had forgotten about! Love this series!

I love Juvia, and it's kind of a shame that in this volume she only gets to show off her cool powers by .
I'm sure there are a lot of fans in favor of a Natsu-Lucy pairing, but I'm more of a Loke-Lucy person. Then again, I'm always a sucker for a loyal retainer.
We get to see Mirajane's in full flower in this volume, and of course it comes with a complementary set of skimpy outfit and pervy viewpoint angles. You can't expect anything else from this manga author... Am I imagining things, or did that twist come out of nowhere? Someone mentions it in passing a few pages before it actually shows up, but that's hardly what I'd call foreshadowing--or planning in advance, which is not Mashima's strength, by his own admission.

A four for featuring a personal favourite panel, it's a turning point for certain characters and the whole guild alike. There's more of a focus on action and humour than needless fan service, and it highlights just how enjoyable Fairy Tail can be when at its best.

Ahh I loved the character growth for Mirajane, Lucy, and Juvia. I think the best fight scene was with Mirajane, but Lucy's was a close second for me! Also Laxus is annoying lol.

Bickslow leads Gray to a trap where he can use no magic. He does this once Gray starts kicking ass
Bickslow does end up winning after chucking hit magic puppets at Gray full force… Gray gets one final blow
Laxus is so obsessed with Makarov handing over title of master to him… even thought he doesn’t really care about Fairytail, he just wants power
Gajeel was still in the guild too, but he can’t leave just like Natsu
Evergreen has defeated a lot of people, so has Bickslow, and Freed just beat Alzac… how will they be saved.. i actually can’t remember
Natsu thinks he can melt our ladies in stone, in his effort he drops Erza by accident causing her to crack BUT after a small freak out and begging for glue, she is shattered free, restoring herself back to normal
It’s revealed that because of Erzas fake eye, all eye contact based magic is reduced to half power
MYSTOGAN ARRIVES
Erza encounters Evergreen, Evergreen reveals her envy for Erzas: Titania, queen of the fairies title
Evergreen fires heaps on needle attacks, after her stone attack doesn’t work again. Erza starts wielding swords in both her hands AND feet
Once Evergreen was pinned, she tries to command Erza to strip and grovel naked before her, otherwise she’d turn the others to dust.. erza did indeed BOTH strip and grovel but instead changed into her heavens wheel armour.
Erza defeats Evergreen with fear. Which releases the other girls!
With the other girls freed, Freed thinks that Laxus and the rest of the Thunder Liegon should stop now, Laxus sends a warning shot at him and says “if you aren’t going to follow my lead, then leave!! MY Fairy Tail doesn’t need you!!”
Laxus makes a new rule. Using Lighting Lacrima’s to surround Magnolia, that will detonate soon. Bisca shoots one, destroying it, but not too long after she is electrocuted
Levy believes she can do something about Freeds barrier magic!!
CUTE GAJEEL AND LEVY MOMENT!!!!
Freed is sent to kill Juvia and Canna…
Bickslow finds Lucy, Happy swoops her out of the way of his starting attack!
She summoned Sagittarius to shoot his puppets, but they are fighting over a toy shop… just as he is going to ‘sacrifice her soul to Laxus’ Loke/Leo summons himself
Bickslow uses his eye magic (turns out everyone in the thunder legion has a secondary magic. His one allows him to control the souls of those he looks at.
Loke/Leo asks Lucy to trust him, using a blinding light which causes Bickslow to close his own eyes, Lucy and Loke/Leo are able to coordinate an attack together. Lucy is the winner.
Levy works hard to change the barrier! (SHES SO CUTE I LOVE HER) SHE DOES IT, BRINGING NATSU AND GAJEEL INTO THE FIGHT
Freed tries to make Cana and Juvia fight till one of them cannot anymore, so then he can “limit the amount of people he kills” Juvia is having NONE of his shit, and in her water form travels far up to attack herself using one of those Lacrima’s, she is hurt badly. “Juvia wants to be knows as a friend of Fairy Tail.. Juvia loves everyone here…” Cana is MADE (goosebumps!!!)
Gajeel and Natsu are warned to go seperate routes as too not be caught in a trap, Gajeel is seen communicating with ‘Master Iwan’ (I can’t remember who he’s double crossing…)
Mira is helping Elfman but comes across Cana being absolutely obliterated by Freed
Elfman tries to attack again, Freed is relentless and tries to use a death spell… Mira snaps
Satan Soul (MAJOR goosebumps!!!!)
Mira could have killed Freed, but she spares him. Reminding him he’s not alone in Fairytail, that there are plenty of gildmates who want to be his friend. They’re all family. The both Forfeit.
The last person standing is Laxus, with Gajeel, Natsu, Erza and Mistogen hot on his trail.

FT’s clash with the Raijin Tribe continues to be a thrilling one as despite the tribe’s sneaky tricks and cunning members which include a self proclaimed master of puppets, the guild will do whatever it takes to help each other and their stoned members. We also get to see Mirajane use her “Satan Soul” 😈💋skill which gives her the power to control demons and an intense change in personality. A (100%/Outstanding)

It’s so sad!! I can’t stand with many terrible scenes that member of fairy tail injuries each other to protect their guild. Luxus is a main antagonist so he did many brutal things to other Nakama but the reason why he does such a thing is so childish and simple. I want Luxus to be an adult. However, I guess Luxus will be a good person at the end of this episode.

4/5 The Battle of Fairy arc is in full swing. We get some pretty cool battles in this volume. We also finally get a glimpse of Mirajane’s true power. Lucy gets another chance to shine and shows that her battle prowess is really improving and she deserves to be hanging with the big boys. Erza is as awesome as usual bringing some big moments to the fights.

Je suis vraiment dans mon era Fairy Tail ++ 🫣
Le Battle of Fairy Tail c’était vraiment la bonne introduction pour les membres du Raijin ! Le personnage de Mistgun fait aussi son apparition, il a été vite fait évoquer mais reste encore très mystérieux j’ai hâte de revoir son histoire 🥳
On découvre aussi la transformation totale de Mirajane qui est trop classe, même si on la voit pas très longtemps
On a pas encore atteint l’apogée de cet arc mais la tension est déjà pas mal du tout !

13-16. The problem with manga is that it's so easy to binge read and that's what I did. The entire Laxus vs Fairytail arc read and done. Jellal is over and done with, Lucy's father trying to get money out of her and Laxus realising what's actually in his heart. His reaction to Fairy law damage was funny.

My review is for the whole manga so far (50 volumes). Fairy Tail is set in a fantasy world where wizards join guilds to make a living, and help the population who have no magic and cannot face certain threats. Lucy is such a wizard looking for a guild, and after meeting Natsu she joins his guild Fairy Tail. I watched the anime first and I prefer the anime look, but the drawings do get better after some volumes. The regions do look pretty, and the cities as well. The manga is packed with humor and action. The battles between the wizards are fun to watch, and are never drawn out unnecessary. The manga has more serious storylines where the past of the wizards in the guild are revealed. There are plenty of wizards in the guild to root for. Another good aspect of the manga are the great amount of female characters that are powerful and capable, like Erza, whether they're enemies, part of the guild or friends. There are some light romantic touches too in the manga.
The downsides are that there are way too much of fan service and nudity, and also way too many big-breasted female characters.

Whew, this was an intense Fairy Tail vs Fairy Tail volume...and we finally get to see Mirajane be more than just the cute secretary/bartender/waitress, which I find to be awesome. Mira is pretty darn strong and it was cool to see her let loose in order to protect her family and her friends.

Ahh, a good old fashioned tournament manga. :) As a Yu Yu Hakusho fan, I can't help but like the conceit. :) Though this manga takes things in a slightly different direction from normal.

This will be my full review for this entire series. I already read this comic from volume 1-30. Suppose there 50 volume more of this series but I prefer not to finish it as I don't really like the time-skip idea in this series.
To clarify, I love the idea of time-skip. But, in this series, I really hate it. It make Natsu and other main member weaker. Why make them weaker? I want to see MC progress throughout the series. Then, suddenly become weaker. Not to mention when MC want to win each battle, power of friendship keep coming back each battle.
Furthermore, there are a lot of un-explained things happened in this series. The dots are not connected rather than scattered throughout the series. It just there to fill the plot-hole. Rather than explaining, Mr Hiro keep continuing the series and keep adding new characters each volume.
So, after the time-skip, I determine to stop reading this series. I don't want to ruin my memories of this awesome series. For most part, this series actually had huge potential because of interesting and lovable character, but the plot is keep on damaging this series slowly.

• Mirajane Strauss, I need you to be evil again soon because this taking yourself out of the game after bodying one member of the thunder god tribe was just unlawful. In my ideal world, Mira would've fucked Laxus' shit up personally without a word from even one other member.
• I get Juvia's self-sacrifice, and I actually enjoyed it dearly. However. I fear she must be allowed to hurt anyone who comes within a 100 meter radius of Gray with genuinely nefarious purposes.
• To the probably 14yo fan artist who drew the first piece of Gajeel x Levy fanart at the back of the volume: REAL
• Laxus locking the women up for a good while there at the beginning, and then every single member of the thunder god tribe being defeated by a female fairy tail member, like yeah. Deserved.
• Being able to tag this as LGBTQ+ because Freed is finally here 🫶 I'm also headcannoning Elfman Evergreen as T4T because I can.
Best chapter cover: I was so interested in reading that I don't think I even took any of them in. Was laxus on any? One where he looked hot.

Guild Wars in full effect! I will tell you before you open this book...if you believe the conclusion of this arc will happen in this issue, you have not been paying attention to this manga series! It "might" end next volume but too much needs to happen for this to have ended in this volume. Now I recommend you sit back and enjoy watching some surprises coming out of different characters put in different circumstances. Art and story are on point and though this is action packed....I have to believe their is a deeper reason for why the guild is clashing with such high stakes! This volume is to be appreciated for what it gives...and I feel like some homages appear in this, but also some cool story and if nothing else...the idea of redemption is always hinted below the service of these clashes.

The Battle of Fairy Tail continues as Laxus's three companions strive to eliminate members of the guild. Ezra's false eye gives her the chance to beat Evergreen, who turns people to stone when she makes eye-contact. The battle starts to go south for Laxus's crew, but will their defeat come in enough time? Will Master Makarov have to surrender the guild to save everyone?
The list of epic match-ups continues, which is fun. The battles are entertaining but feel like filler before the big final show-down which looks likes it's coming in the next volume.

Every Fairy Tail members were taken out excluding Natsu, Gajeel, Erza and Mystogan join the battle. Erza fights Evergreen and managed to defeat her, thus nullified Evergreen's stone statues. Laxus changed the rule by deploying the lightning lacrimas around Magnolia to perform Thunder Palace. Lucy and Loke defeat Bickslow. Cana and Juvia want to fight Fried but theybwere defeated. Mirajane arrived and defeat him in her demon take-over form.
