Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.

When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.

During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.

Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.

She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres..

She also writes under the name Mikela Q. Chase

First of all, I find it odd that this book is titled "Finding Farro" full stop. It should've been titled "Finding Farro, Or How Anthony Wants To Be A Wolf To Please Silver". Because, yes, the character Farro (whom we barely met in previous installments) does get a mate here and he finally experiences his Happily Ever After Mated Ending... but more than half the book is about Anthony.

Having said that, I don't really mind because I've always been rooting for Anthony and Silver and I care a lot about them, so I enjoyed seeing them here. Besides, even though Farro's story is not the prominent one here, Amber Kell does manage to effectively paint a very complex and vivid picture of this wolf shifter. His appearance might be shorter than what we would've liked, but he's by no means a two-dimensional character.

He's the only one among the characters here who has a son and that alone is already very sweet. Not only that, his key role in the story is how he manages to plant an idea, albeit a misleading and perhaps even cruel one, in the mighty Anthony's head. His role as Anthony's detractor in the beginning of the story was one I welcomed. I loved the conflict and I was happy that not everyone actually got along! It's what gives spice to the series.

And you can't really deny that Farro lucked out in the mate department. I was very taken with Kylen, the warrior fae who became his life companion. I never expected Farro to get a fae for a partner, but as soon as Kylen made his debut, I immediately wished he would belong to Farro. Fortunately for the shifter, Kylen is not like most fae who need more than one mate, so I was doubly charmed by him.

As for Anthony's rash decision to have his grandfather - the thunder god Zeus - 'imbue' him with wolfish powers, I view it as a major turning point for the alpha couple. Anthony hasn't shown his vulnerable side since the beginning of the first book, where he came across as a shy man still grieving for his late dom. In the past four books, he's been a badass character. Here, though, we get to see that vulnerability again. His concern of not being enough for Silver, in spite of Silver's obvious worship of him, tugged at my heartstrings.

This is probably one of the most bittersweet installments of the series so far. No surprise then that this is what makes me want to keep on reading. Conflicts are delicious!

First of all I think that the book title is misleading. Yes, Farro does feature in this book together with his son Sammy, but unlike the previous books in this series, so much happens and then, we are left with a cliff-hanger, as if the author run out of time! As said, there are loads of things happening at once. Dare has been taken, by the mutants. Farro's mixed feelings for Anthony, Anthony's feelings about not being able to shift and run with his mate and his solution to the problem! Anthony asked his grandfather Zeus to make him a shift, so Anthony left Silver and came back changed and Silver didn't like it. Anthony wolf was dominated he attacked Silver and broke the bed when they had sex and on his first run. I love Anthony. Farro did find his mate a fae

Finding Farro
By Amber Kell

While this book was titled Finding Farro and was supposed to be about Farro and Kylen most of it was actually about Anthony and Silver.

The entire series should have been just about Anthony and Silver since they're in every book anyway. The other mated couples that are who the books are supposed to be about are more like after thoughts and barely any effort is put into their characters or storyline. The most effort is always for Anthony and Silver's storyline.

In this book, yet again, there's no build-up to Farro and Kylen's relationship. Worse, there's no HEA and it's barely a HFN. They're two strangers when they meet and still two strangers at the end. They don't mate either.

I keep hoping any of these books will be as good as the first in this series and they're not. They don't even come close. I rarely feel anything for the characters except when it's about Anthony and Silver. I'm not drawn into the stories about each new couple. I'm not given the in-depth emotion to even want to feel anything for them. It's a waste of my time. The only reason I kept going was because each book was only 99 cents. I'm finishing the last 2 books I already purchased and then that's that. I'm done with this author, period. I'm not spending continual money on any author who can't even be bothered to put in a half-a$$ed effort of a good story for paying readers. And it upsets me more because this isn't the only series I've paid to read of hers and was seriously disappointed in the end. I'll finish out the books I've already purchased from each series, but won't be buying any more.

This instalment is a bit different from the previous ones. It's not only Farro's story, but also a continuation of Anthony's. And it ends on a cliffhanger without a real HEA or even HFN for Farro. He has a mate, but we never get to see them interact and develop a relationship.
However, I really liked that there was more plot than in most instalments!

It has been three years since I read the first five books in the series, but it was easy to get reacquainted with the characters and the plot. I enjoyed this story and the changes in POV worked well with the overall story. The romance/mating is only a small part of the story but it worked.

2015 Re-read:

This volume definitely is the one I like least out of the ones I’ve read.

Not only does the Anthony/Silver story take a turn towards the depressing, but I can’t possibly warm up to Farro, who seems to be self-centred beyond belief. Kylen’s probably not a bad guy, but that’s not much to make up for all the uncomfortable stuff in this book. Particularly given how late he shows up and how little we get to know of him. He also is weirdly repetitive in his exposition later on.

And the Farro/Kylen relationship does not end on a happy note. I wonder why the author did this. It’d have been so easy to avoid that little downer in the epilogue. (Viewpoints also were messy in the epilogue. I am thinking maybe the author wrote this one in a particularly careless way.)

ok

An ok addition to the series
Not sure it gave Farro and Kylen enough page time as it combined two storylines combined and I think more time was given to Anthony and Silver and the progression of their relationship

For me I needed a little more in regards to Farro especially considering he already has a child and so Kylen was taking both himself and his son.
What I’ve seen of Kylen I like him but also I don’t really know much about him or his motivations. I didn’t feel any type of connection between the pair

Hopefully we revisit these two in the future and get more on their mating

The parts that continued the series arc were good and I am looking forward to seeing where the arc leads

This was a fascinating story. Farro finds his mate, Kylen (fae), and we also learned a bit more about the mutants, such as, not all of them are bad. The plot also focused more on Anthony and how he felt not being able to run in wolf form with his mate, Silver. It held my interest and the ending was sweet.

The sixth book in the Moon Pack series has lots of changes. Anthony wants to be more of a mate to Silver while Farro has to deal with mutants attacking his home. Traveling to Fae lands are needed to resolve some issues. This is an amazing series and just keeps getting better.

Good action

Having a bit more on Anthony and Silver was wonderful. The Alpha couple is hit and intriguing. Then Farro and Ky's story gets thrown in, and it's not bad. I wish it could have been more in depth, but all is good.

I wish the books in this series has been longer because the ideas are great but not developed. If this series was about the relationship of Anthony and Silver in the background the pack members beginning to find his mate it's would be much better but even this can't be put in this number of pages. I ready that in the another edition the more recent one. I think i had read the old one too but don't remember any of this. In this one has more plot and development also is a bigger story than the others. I still wish more.

First of all, the title is so misleading. Second, the blurb from the old version DEFINITELY does not apply. Farro's son (whose name is also Farro Samuels, though he is called Sammy) is NOT stolen by mutants. In fact, it is the weretiger, Dare, who is kidnapped and taken to dark fae realm, so the crazy fae scientist who creates the mutants can study his DNA. Yes, Sammy is later taken but not by the mutants. Third, half of this book is also about Anthony's weariness, of not being able to shift into wolf, of worrying that he's never fully satisfies his mate, Silver.

I never read the old version for this one, so I will not know the changes it has applied. However, as a story, I find this one rather unfocused. I don't mind the Anthony and Silver plot because they are so prominent, even from book two (after their original first appearance) -- and I will always have interest to read about Anthony. It's nice to see this side of Anthony, the one that is not such a bad ass or meddling; his vulnerability makes him more likeable. Silver is still not as fully developed as the demigod, BUT, his devotion towards Anthony shines through and pouring in every pages of this one.

But for Farro's storyline?? It's weak, in my opinion. His mate, Kylen, a warrior fae (whom, by the way, does NOT need more than one mates, thank GOD), does not appear until about half of the book. Since there's another plot of saving Dare (then finding Farro's son), I don't feel that the relationship is fully explored.

Having said all that, I think this edition is the one getting the most revamped from the original. Amber Kell herself said in her blog that " I added a new plot line, change the name of one of the major characters, revealed one of the pack betrayers, introduced the character for the “L” book and added 7,000 additional words. Basically it’s almost a completely new novel" --- and I can see how this becoming an advantage for future line. In fact, now I'm more interested to follow this series.

I would have to give the first version only 2 stars, reason same as many felt Farro did Not really get his story.

In this new 2011 version, would get 3 stars. 7000 words were added. And their were some big changes, Farro's mate name was changed, part plot change, new plot,:

While their are a couple more scene of Farro and new named Mate. He still did not get the same coverage as the others in past books.
Cause there was more of Silver/Anthony (and his wolf) So again it was a lot more about them and not Farro. At the end of the book he's mated to Kylen(new name) but he's not even sure the guy likes him. Kylen is more moved by the fact that Farro has a son and he always wanted a child. So imo Farro and Kylen stilled needed more page time, the other stuff had to happen but Anthony's wolf really didn't need more time.

This story had a lot more action and plot than the earliest books.

I absolutley HATED what Anthony did at the beginning and was going to be genuinely put out if that status remained. It should be very interesting to see how the "deal with the Devil" turns out.

I had my issues with Farro in the beginning but softened toward him as the book progressed. Kylen appealed to me, but the Farro/Kylen coming together needed more "airplay". :-( I see the Kylen book is out and hope that their lesser story will be rectified.

I did find one continuity error that pulled me out of the story at the end. It was implied if not explicitly stated that Farro and Sammy (with Kylen) were to move to the pack condos, so whatever was in the bedside table should NOT have been Farro's.

ETA: I did feel that Farro was cheated out of "his" book and in turn I felt cheated out of his true story.

This is a continuation of A to … Despite the title this was less about Farro and more about Anthony. Farro’s son is kidnapped by the mutant wolves who took him to the Dark Fae. They go to find him and bring home a Fae who has decided Farro is his mate but the author doesn’t really get into their relationship but lots of time is spent on Anthony trying to become a wolf and the problems that causes. The fae invented weres but its now prohibited but some mad scientist is creating mutants so they are on his trail now.

I've enjoyed all the books to this set, but I have to admit that in this one I was somewhat disappointed. I don't like giving a bad review, but it didn't deserve my best either. My apologies to you Amber. The other stories previously focused on the character under which the book is titled, but this one hadn't and I was disappointed by that fact. Instead the focus of this story was on a character whom already had his story and and glory. I hope in future stories I can enjoy the character I missed out on in this one.

It's a mix of storylines about different characters/pairs. I liked it nevertheless.

Anthony gets a wolf and duh.
>_< It was really rude for Zeus to give Anthony Lykaios or the spirit wolf of Zeus as his wolf. Was that a nasty plan to turn him off forever from the idea of being a shifter and closer to his mate and pack?
I can't believe Zeus didn't know what (that) will happen if Lykaios appears in front of Silver. I won't say "couldn't Zeus give Anthony ordindary wolf" because obviously to his grandson no, he couldn't. But at least an omega or beta wolf since Anthony is Alpha's mate?

Well, so far each short story seems to be more like a chapter of Anthony & Silver's story; all really quick reads & the angst of the books usually seem forced. I think it would actually be better if read all at once, instead of like a serial with each chapter coming out every few months. However, the main plot is interesting, so I keep following it.
I didn't really care for Farro, but Anthony & Silver's sidd plot made this book worth reading.

This had potential, it could have been a great read, instead, I felt a little cheated.
Again such a short story. But it had so much going on, too much for the Length. So I felt Farro got a little or no attention. Too much was given to Anthony. Now I love the demi-god, but he had had his book. This book should have been given a different title. And what with Dare and Steven's issues, poor Farro got the last few pages :-(
He needs another book.

A fairly good story that gave us more Silver and Anthony as well as a romance between Farro and Kylen. However that romance is rather glossed over to put forward the story of Anthony and his wish to be more for his partner Silver. Also the blurb is misleading because Dare from book 4 is the one kidnapped by the mutants and Farro's son is later kidnapped by a member of the Moon Pack. That aside over all the story is good and helps the storyline for the Moon Pack continue in an interesting way.

Liked this one better than some of the others but don't really understand where the usual romance of the "titled" character - Farro didn't seem to get his book and it was more like an Anthony/Silver story. Some of the editing drove me nuts again, too - Anthony became Tony but only in a couple places and obvious words were left out of sentences that really revolved around that omitted word.

Finding Farro is book 6 in the paranormal erotica, Moon Pack Series by Amber Kell. I love this series. It's a hot, M/M or M/M/M erotica with compelling characters and a great story. I wasn't a big fan of Farro or when Anthony made a deal with his grandfather. This was my second to least favourite in the series. My favourites so far are books 7, 8, and 9.

Love these books - great novellas ~ sexy, entertaining and fun!

It appears there will eventually be A-Z and there is plenty of room for it to go even beyond that. It is very entertaining with interesting characters and unique twists in each story. They do need to be read in order - each group of MC's have their own story but there is an overlaying back story that grows throughout each book.

The only thing that keeps me reading this series is the characters. They are so funny! This series would be so much better if it actually had plot… the books are so short it seems more like an outline.
