Such an amazing book by an amazing person. Hopefully a larger publisher will get ahold of this book so it can take off like it properly needs to be!

The Christian Appalachian Project (CAP), helps people like the elderly and impoverished who live in the Appalachian Mountains with anything from driving them to appointments, counseling, and running a clothing store. These mountain people live out in the middle of nowhere, are poor, and they need help with their basic needs.
Cliffie Strong is one of those women who has lived in the mountains her entire life. She has made due on what she has and puts anything she can find to good use. She married, had four children, and grew old with her husband. But when he passed away, she was left alone and the winters especially were hard for her. She is thankful meeting a woman from CAP at the clothing store who was able to help her with many things. CAP sounds like a wonderful organization that has volunteers and employees that are like angels that help people like Cliffie.

An interesting short read biography of a woman living in the Appalachians and what life was like. It is hard for me to imagine the ignorance that they claim existed not to mention the fact that this woman didnt have electricity til the 1950s and even then it was one bulb. Simply told and a quick read.
Also it refers to CAP which I've never heard of.

Leave it in one of those book exchanges outside of hipster cafes, and pass it along.

Her story is ever-undyingly spiritual.
