3. The Fall
3 Stars
I purchased a copy of the Seattle set novel The Fall: The Andersons Book Two by Melody Anne and this review was given freely.
I didn’t really care for the “enhancements” in this version as I felt they interrupted the flow and made me feel like I was reading a middle-grade book instead of the steamy adult romance it is.
A story of instant attraction and second chances that is complicated by a stalker and vindictive ex-In-Laws.
Just when Mark thinks he has evaded all his father Joseph’s matchmaking attempts, his father hires struggling runaway single mother Emily as Mark’s live-in housekeeper and cook.
18+ for steamy intimate scenes.

Joseph’s twin brother George contacts him five years after George’s wife’s death seeking Joseph’s help to rebuild his family while finding love matches for his estranged children. George starts by relocating himself, his business, and his oldest son to Seattle.
As the struggling temporary guardian of her 4-year-old niece Molly, Jennifer is thrilled with her new job as executive assistant to the president of the Anderson Corporation until she discovers her new boss is the cocky playboy who hit her with a frisbee in the park and the man she tries hard to resist.
18+ for extended intimate scenes and the dark undertone of kidnapping.
5. The Blackmail
3 Stars
I purchased a copy of the Seattle set novel The Blackmail: The Andersons Book Five by Melody Anne and this review was given freely.
A touch of irony, a fair amount of violence, extended intimate scenes, and a couple who finds love despite parental interference, and despite Max’s hurting budding journalist Cassie both mentally and physically.
Cassie has one goal, to interview determined playboy and closet philanthropist Max Anderson to get a job with the Seattle Times. Unfortunately, to get the interview, she first has to become the victim of a car accident.
18+ for extended intimate scenes. Best if read in series order.
6. The Runaway
3 Stars
I purchased a copy of the Seattle set novel The Runaway: The Andersons Book Six by Melody Anne and this review was given freely.
Way too much violence. Contains some good foreshadowing indicating early on who the stalker is.
Tension-filled with a couple who draws closer together despite tragedy, kidnapping, and a lot of violence.
28-year virgin Brianne Lynn Anderson tried to escape the confines of her overly protective, predominantly male family only to find herself under the protection of Cousin Mark’s friend, ex-Navy SEAL Chad.
18+ for extended intimate scenes and violence.
7. The Final Stand
3 Stars
I purchased a copy of the Seattle set novel The Final Stand: The Andersons Book Seven by Melody Anne and this review was given freely.
I had to know how the final Anderson child met his match, but I am tired of all the violence and tragedy. Contains unprofessional behavior.
Then and Now novels are not my favorite, but this volume is different in that it contains Joseph, George, and Austin’s romances.
The patriarchal brothers are gravely injured in a car accident which has Katherine reminiscing on her early days with Joseph while at the same time, Austin tries to build a relationship with nurse Kinsey as they have sex all over the hospital, and the children work to bring George and Esther’s romance out into the open. End with a nice update on all the couples in the series.
18+ for extended intimate scenes in multiple locations and violence.
