Finding this Look-and-Find book still in my possession, I decided to include it on my 2018 Reading Challenge and take one last look at it before passing it along and selling it to my local used bookstore for a future generation to enjoy.

Just like Where's Waldo?, Where's Waldo? the Fantastic Journey, and Where's Waldo Now?, the hardcover edition of this book and one of its companion, Find Frosty as He Sings Christmas Carols, provided endless hours of fun for my childhood self.

The illustrations provide so much more than simply looking for the character and item. There are multiple wild stories happening simultaneously on each page spread, and it's for the best that a reader to keep an eye out for additional figures and objects— they just might end up on extra checklists at the end of the book! Don't forget to spot the Nutcracker Prince and Marie on every page.

Reading through this book again with adult eyes is quite different; having learned I've lost patience looking for smaller things (finding some that are drawn near the crease/spine of the book was the most frustrating)! This will provide great fun for preschool and grade schoolers, but a parent of those will find entertainment in a very different light.

I never owned a copy of the other companion titles Find Santa Claus As He Brings Christmas Joy or Find the Gifts on the Twelve Days of Christmas, but would highly recommend if sought out.

Perfect for children who like Where's Wally. Really difficult to find these characters and you get to enjoy the story of The Nutcracker.

Each seek-and-find page takes you further into the story of the Nutcracker ballet. Especially fun, I think, for those kids who have seen the ballet or are familiar with the story.
