This collection of the Spotlight one-shots only ties in to the All Hail Megatron (AHM) storyline indirectly. In fact, it could exist independently without referring to the AHM and still be a coherent story.

In my opinion what makes this important is that two of the stories would actually feed into future storylines that I've enjoyed recently. The two would be the "Drift" and "Metroplex" stories.

A good collection and not necessarily an essential part of All Hail Megatron but still enjoyable on its own merits.

These solo stories have absolutely nothing to do with the All Hail Megatron story. They are all flashback stories featuring some of the Autobots that appear in All Hail Megatron. That being said, the stories are all well written and have a good "house art" style.

How did they get from that awesome design for Drift to the abomination that is in Age of Extinction?

Disappointing

I'm not sure why this vol. was even called hail megaton looks more like one shots that didn't even form a story together let alone add to vol.1 and 2 hope 4 is better

Transformers: All Hail Megatron, Volume 3 is a great collection of Stories highlighting various characters and really giving a lot more depth to events around the other stories! :D Each story is told at high octane and never lets up on the humour action and personalities in conflict leaving plots everywhere to be solved and wanting more! :D We also get insight into the past of Cybertron and that things are not as straightforward as would seem with the current conflict! :D We also get to see what things would be like after the war that adds a great tone to the book! :D

Transformers: All Hail Megatron, Volume 3 is brilliant, fast-paced full of adventure, humour and action packed! :D Highly recommended! :D

Five One-Shots

I'm torn on this collection. On one hand, these are great one-shots: stories about Blurr, Jazz, Drift, Cliffjumper, and Metroplex. On the other hand, I already own and have read all these. My fault I guess for not reading the product info. I just thought that a series called "All Hail Megatron Vol. 3" would have comics from the All Hail Megatron series. Guess that would be too simple? IDW doesn't make it easy to figure out what order in which to read their comics, that's for sure.

Continuing the "All Hail Megatron" story.... Well actually it doesn't, this volume is mainly a collection of spotlight/one-shot stories mainly featuring the Autobots. It's nice to read but a little of a let down considering I was expecting more of the AHM story. The spotlights tells small stories that the featured transformer history.

Different artists for different spotlights. Nice to read but not essential to the overall AHM saga, almost as if IGW were padding and adding filler to get an extra volume into the collection.

It’s just full of Spotlights, so not a necessary edition to All Hail Megatron. The stories themselves were good, and I enjoyed learning more about the individual characters. The main storyline continues in vol. 4, so if anyone is wondering, you can skip vol. 3 if you want - or read it.

These one-shots make for fairly confusing reading, especially when read one after another in a single collection.

Very enjoyable backstories. I actually read these BEFORE the main series and that worked out really well.

Not as good as seeing Megatron win and take control of Earth. Did like the whole little side stories of the war.

Only one really fit in the All Hail Megatron timeline. And my copy is AHM volume 3, NOT Spotlight volume 5.

Blurr: throw away.
Jazz: pure gold. And IN the Megatron timeline.
CJ: also gold.
Drift: crap. Didn't care for him. At least they mentioned Kup's upgrades.
Metroplex: more like Spotlight Throttlebots. I think the big guy had 5 lines total. That does NOT make a spotlight.
