Full disclosure: the author is my friend, and I am on the "thank you page" in the front of the book.

But this was short, brutal, and to the point. It got me to scowl at one point because of disgust, which is the intention, so yay.

My one note: we get a lot of exposition for the character that ends up going nowhere, and it feels kind of dumped for that reason.

Otherwise: Yay!
