This is a very small and simple book. I do not think this is bad at all, as it is for children and is written and marketed to children. It shows them with very detailed colored pictures how to make basic calligraphy strokes to get them started with proper form. Since it is simple, if a child develops an interest they will quickly want to move beyond this book, but this book is a great started book just to see if they would develop and interest. I have done calligraphy in the past and wish I had something like this when I started!
