And just like that, it's over. The series ended prematurely, and its final issues (five of them, from two different publishers) are collected here. The usual turmoil, jubilation and depression in near-equal doses, and with absolutely no kind of a wrap-up before the sudden end. The only unique thing about this volume compared to the others is that Waller's art takes a sudden change in the final issue. The style is more refined, but the posing somehow seems less natural. As the end of the series this is utterly dissatisfying, but just another lost series for an old comics geek like me.
Reading these pages was like a walk into the remembered details and feel of the Twin Cities of the late eighties and early nineties. Only this time my tour guides were hipster musicians and exotic dancers wearing their personalities on their faces, and struggling against hypocrisy.
