Workaholic accountant Elizabeth Sewell needs a man. According to her well-laid-out life plan, it’s time to find Mr. Right and move on to the next phase of her life. The problem is, she’s been so busy working her way up the career ladder, she wouldn’t spot Mr. Right even if he were carrying a neon sign. So, being an organized businesswoman, she comes up with a strategy. She’ll hire a man to provide her with a variety of experiences. That way, she’ll know what she wants. It’s just that easy, right? Disillusioned attorney Jack Harley needs an opportunity. He’s just left a high-status firm and is determined to get his life back on track by opening a private practice. His first client, a woman being sexually harassed at work, gives him the chance to take on a case that matters. When a sexy brunette mistakes his new office for a recently relocated escort service and challenges him to help her uncover what turns her on, he thinks he can have it all. But soon he discovers telling Elizabeth the truth of who he is will compromise his case. Protect and seek justice for his client—that’s the promise he’d made himself. Now it’s time to win the case, even if, for him, it means losing what he really wants.

This book I found on Netgalley has a much different cover. I also found out that it was originally released ten years ago. The female character Elizabeth Sewell is an accountant and is a person that has her life on a plan. She has everything working so far and she is looking at making partner in the firm if she can land this one account. What she does not have is a man or any type of love life. She feels she has no game, she cannot flirt. So Elizabeth does what she thinks would solve the problem and that is, she decides to hire a male escort. When she arrives at the office she finds a man named Jack Harley. They hit it off right away and he tells her he will pick her up that night. He arrives later on his Harley and she finds herself actually excited. The night goes better than she thought. What she does not know is that Jack is not an escort but an attorney who has relocated and did not have any information on his door. The story takes off between them and of course, comes to a point when she finds out the truth when she goes to court with a friend. Can she really now walk away from what she was actually looking for at the beginning? It appears so. Read this fun story to see what happens. I recieved this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

I started reading this book thinking it was going to be a typical guy meets girl story, following along with their romance; observing any ups and downs within their blossoming relationship. This book however is far from typical and it is a lot raunchier than expected.

I rooted for Jack & Elizabeth the entire way through this book, hoping that their chemistry would result in them finding a perfect relationship with each other.

The story is told with split perspectives; so you get to see things from both characters point of view and you get to hear what both parties are thinking. This is one of my favourite parts of the book, because you can see how the two characters truly feel, rather than relying on solely their actions/words as described by the other person.

I personally would have liked an extra chapter or two, or even an epilogue to cover what happens next for Jack & Elizabeth, but overall a really good read, definitely worth four stars.

Thanks to NetGalley For providing me With an E-copy in Exchange for an honest review .

This was actually a good read , I liked the story line , although it was too fast-paced for my liking ( would have liked to now more about the background of the characters before their first meeting ).

Elizabeth was a good heroine , I liked her scenes while she was doing her job ( she is an incredible and very successful accountant, ( really interesting ) ) , her personality was good too , I liked her character's development .

On the other hand , we have Jack " the lead male character "( a new relocated attorney who decided to play an escort for Elizabeth" because he is attracted to her " ) , I actually wasn't a fan of him , as much as I tried I didn't found him charming .

The plot was interesting , predictable but a funny romantic read anyway , really thankful for having the chance to read it .

The author's writing style is really good , I liked her descriptions of the characters and their feelings .

For the fans of The kiss Quotient and Pretty Women , this one is for you .

P.s : the cartoonish cover of the book that NetGalley send me is more interesting than this one :P

Ugh, this book. *major eye roll*
This review will contain spoilers; long story short I highly recommend passing on this one. Scroll to the end for content warnings, if you still want to take the chance.
This is also a re-release of a 10 year old story, so check your reading list, maybe you already read it!

The plot of this seemed intriguing, with the h taking her love life into her own hands and wanting to be prepared for any kind of dating situation- girl after my own heart- so she tries (H isn't who she thinks) to hire an escort to practice dating. If this is sounding familiar, reference The Kiss Quotient- Helena Hoang. I feel like maybe Drake saw the success that got and thought, "hey I did that 10 years ago! Let's try again!". I still haven't finished The Kiss Quotient because the whole escort thing weirds me out, so I tried to keep that in mind going into this book.
The story starts out really good: I liked the h and the H, they had good chemistry- I saw potential. As soon as the first chance came for H to tell h the truth, I was all in and would have been totally on board with him coming clean then and the two of them getting to know each ither and building their relationship. I WOULD HAVE LOVED THIS BOOK if this had been the storyline.
But NO. Instead we get incident after incident where H continues to lie, or avoid the truth, in any way possible. h deserved way better! Halfway through I wanted to stop but I had committed to the review. And the ending is so abrupt it's just stupid, so it's not even like it was worth it.
Throughout the book there is a side story of workplace harassment of an ancillary character (plus some scenes with bar harassment of the h) that are so glossed over it seems to make light of the very real problem. A few meetings with a lawyer, one mediation hearing, GIANT settlement? Neat and tidy- too much so. This bugged me, a lot. Then there is what the H says when h has found out the truth and he's trying to defend himself. Pulled right from the text:
"You have to accept a bit of the blame, Elizabeth" "Me? You're not serious."
SIDEBAR: This is where I started to get excited that this would be an atypical story and h would realize H is a dick, she doesn't need him and she would walk into a coffee shop and meet the REAL H. No such luck. Continuing...
"How did you expect a man to react to your offer? Did you honestly think any man would be able to go through what you had in mind without getting turned on? You CHALLENGED me tk get under your skin"
What. The. Ever. Loving. Fuck.
That's supposed to be sweet? Victim blaming? In a book that has a sideline of sexual harassment?!? The more I think about this the more upset I get and want to lower the star rating even more, but 1 star it is. Ugh. I'll wrap this ul so you don't have to read more of my ranting.
The FINAL nail in the coffin was the poor editing. THIS IS A RE-RELEASE. 10 years ago, presumably, someone looked through for errors. Then I would hope someone looked through it again before re-releasing. If either occured, the peraon responsible failed at their job. There are continuity errors- the truck turned into a car, what she's holding in her hand, etc. and there are so many sentences missing words, spelling errors and terrible grammar that make it difficult to get though parts of the book solely based on readability (content notwithstanding).
In summary, I wish I hadn't requested this- it's got me all angry instead of all "sigh at the romance of it all"

I recieved an ARC in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Content warnings: sexual harassment (and the way it is handled makes light of it IMO, so wrong!)

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Ok so full disclosure; I would not have requested this book if this image had been the title page. The one of Netgalley was cartoonish and seemed a bit more chick lit style.

BUT I’m glad I did read it. It was more steamy than I anticipated, but nothing wrong with that. I liked Elizabeth as a character - although her constant daydreaming, even when her friends are saying something important bugged me a bit. I felt the character of Jack could have been developed more but the female characters were interesting.

The storyline was a hit too - I’ve enjoyed books like The Kiss Quotient recently and this out even more of a spin on the whole Pretty Woman storyline. I found myself invested in Elizabeth’s job, especially when she was trying to land a client she desperately needed to prove her worth.

Overall a good read and while I wouldn’t usually go for this kind of book (especially based on this photographic cover), I’m glad I had a chance to give it a go!

It was a good story line. Someone who is career oriented but never had time for herself or made time for herself. To date or just socialize period. She's awkward because of that and needs a little help. Going to a pro is a great idea....right?!

I think this would have been a cuter story if the male MC wasnt a jerk towards the end and continued to lie to her AND he blamed her for part of his lies. I was sorta baffled by that one. Nobody forced him to be dishonest and he had opportunities to tell the truth and chose to keep it to himself. It wasnt a bad book but I think it would rub any reader a little bit wrong. Although he did admit that he was an idiot for saying that to her and putting the blame on her when ultimately it was on him. He could have steered her correctly etc. So...honestly thats what saved the book even if it was at the very very end.

I received a free copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. first off I didn't initially realise that this was a rerelease. that being said this book was okay. Elizabeth is a hard working career woman who decides to hire an escort so she can figure out what kind of man she likes (okay sure sounds like a great plan). however, she ends up in the work office and propositions a lawyer instead who of course goes along with it. the story was okay, several mistakes that an editor should have caught but more importantly the ending was way to abrupt and incomplete. btw this was not the same cover I saw or else I would not have read it. the cover I had was more chick lit cartoony.

A fun story about mistaken identity and falling in love. What happens when you go someplace thinking it's one thing and find out later it wasn't? That's what happens to Elizabeth and makes for a fun story. Hers and Jacks story doesn't start out the way most would but that's okay it's part of what makes it a fun read. The way they interact puts a smile on your face, even though I think he could've fessed up sooner than he did. For me it read a little slow but other than that It's a book I do recommend!

I received a copy of this book courtesy of Netgalley. I wouold not have requested this book with the cover listed here. The Netgalley cover was more cartoonish and seemed like the typical chick-lit style romance book, which I have been loving.

I am glad I read this book though, although steamier than I had both anticipated and would normally read. I found the characters likeable, the story line was good and overall I enjoyed the book.

The premise of this story, Elizabeth a workaholic hires a male escort to figure out what type of man she "needs" is an intriguing one. She walks into the wrong office and actually hires Jack, a lawyer-but he takes the job of male escort. Although well written it was too "sexy" for my liking and Jack was totally unlikable (or maybe that was the point). I was expecting a lighter funny story line and would've loved it if this was the case. If you like quick. steamy plots this is for you.

A great story that was a lot of fun to read. Seriously steamy. Quite a few laugh-out-loud moments blended nicely with the tension of various types. A great beach read.

Thank you to NetGalley, Riverdale Avenue Books, and Isabelle Drake for giving me the chance to read this story and share my honest thoughts and opinions with others about it.

I was expecting there to be more story and less sex, but hey if that's what you are looking for! (Also the cover on the ARC I read was more romcom like and I would not have e gone for something with this, ahem, skin)

Elizabeth is a hardworking accountant. Jack is an attorney who has had it with the 'always win no matter what' world. Mistaking his office for an escort service, she hires him to find her perfect man. What's that saying about 'what's right in front of you'? Your perfect love.
