For centuries, the Blessers have served the Dires of Vaska loyally using their hypnotist powers. But since the disappearance of the dire’s betrothed, Dire Saulder has become a tyrant so cruel that not even his brother can stomach him. After Dire Saulder one day takes things too far, his brother, Prince Sova, rises against him, only to be forced out of the only home he knows. In exile, he comes across a brave-hearted rebel, a tavern fighter, and a haunted shepherdess, all with the same goal in mind—destroy Dire Saulder. On their journey, the band of exiles encounters a flying wolf monster and its master—a sarcastic hypnotist with an all too familiar face. Together, they pursue the Cliffs of Era in hopes of finding allies to liberate the Valley of Lykos, unaware of the horrible curse the Blesser has cast upon them.
Oh. My. Gosh. This book is SO GOOD. I follow the author on both her instagram handles and saw the very first animation she did for this book and knew I needed it right then. Sova has my heart. I loved all the faith refrences and when Sova was reading the book of Acts in Cassavore's house.
I loved it when Sova said to Kyce "I think Feran just called your aunt stupid in Bible." he's precious we must protect him at all costs. Elling and Roseph are my OTP. He is so caring. Saulder is a monster but i hope they can maybe get through to him and the theme this book is set around (Paul's journey) is true for him. I bawled like a baby when Kyce's soaring wolf,Whisp, died. My dog died the day before I read that scene so I was running on all the emotions lol. I cannot wait to meet Taige, and see what happens in book two!
I want to say more but I am at a loss for words. This was an amazing read! I know alot of people don't like reading self published books because of any mistakes, but I personally loved reading this. It is a sign to me, as an aspiering author that is you put your mind to it and work hard, you can achieve your dreams. Abby, if you see this, please know that this book helped me grow in my faith and I ahve become way more open about my faith. :) OkImdonenowbye!!!

I typically read the romance novels but wanted to give this one a try as miss Abby Schank is a good friend of mine - and I’m SO glad I did!
I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and absolutely didn’t want to put it down!! I was hooked, constantly wanting to know what happens next, and felt the emotions the characters were feeling, especially at the end. I loved the sprinkles of biblical verses intertwined with the story as well.
I definitely recommend this book and absolutely can’t wait for the sequel!!!
