Tachibana Higuchi (樋口 橘, HIGUCHI Tachibana), born 1976-03-16 , is a Japanese manga artist. In year 1996, she first made her debut work in Bessatsu Hana to Yume's 5th issue, entitled 5 Gatsu no Sakura (『5月のサクラ』?).
During an interview with Tokyopop, she gave a detailed account of how she started as a mangaka.
"I first submitted a manga story a while after I graduated from high school. Up until then I was studying for the entrance examinations for the Art University, and as part of that, I sometimes drew manga and four-panel strip comics for fun.
"Because I was conscious of the fact that I had started drawing manga in earnest at a later age, I think my progress during the beginning on drawing and storytelling techniques was fast as I frantically tried to absorb everything I could learn about creating manga. After the serialization of the story began, as I got busy, I was so desperate to submit it on time that I feel that the drawings probably haven’t improved much compared to before. During the serialization of the manga, I think my story telling techniques improved more as I concerned myself with how to catch the attention of the readers, how well one can incorporate what the readers are seeking into the story."

This is such a cute series. In this volume the school festival is still going on and there is a play that Luca is in. Something happens to the cast members and Mikan steps in. Luca just happens to be playing snow white who will Mikan have to play?
Also at the end of the festival there is a dance. There is a saying that whoever dances the last dance will end up falling in love and being a couple. Who will Mikan dance with Natsumi, Luca or someone else.
I love this series it makes me smile and laugh. I just love all of the characters. If you like this series I recommend that you read this volume. It is really cute :D

Continuamos con el Festival Escolar, la obra de teatro fue entretenida, aunque yo quería que se de el beso entre Mikan y Luca, para ver arder el mundo, pero bueno, me gusto como se dio todo; hubo partes en las que sentí que el Festival escolar se estaba alargando demasiado, pero lo bueno es que tuvo un buen termino.
La Historia de Kaname me enterneció mucho, definitivamente es un príncipe con encanto natural, también fue interesante conocer mas al oso Bear; sobre el retroceso de la relación con Natsume, es otra muestra de que aunque que los alumnos, no solo son esclavos físicamente, si no que también emocionalmente.
No se que pensar de los directores, obviamente debe haber algún poder que los haga conservarse con esa apariencia, pero ¿un niño?, esa parte es muy rara.
Terminando el Volumen en el intento fallido de Mikan tratando de llevarse bien con el oso, haber que pasara ahora.

Que me den una pistola y acabo rápido con esto de la dirección y Persona. Es que me HIERVE la sangre solo de pensar en todo lo que me falta por descubrir de esta gentuza.
Por otra parte en principio este era el último volumen que se adaptó y por lo que he leído en la sinopsis del siguiente esto es así, la cosa es que hay un plot en la serie que aún no he visto aquí así que quizá viene más adelante y se puso en la serie porque sí, ya se verá supongo. Además, la historia del chico que hace los muñecos con vida está más explicada en el anime aunque tiene sentido porque la propia autora habla de ello, de que quería hacer más y quizá lo hacen volúmenes próximos. Aún así me alegro de que no hayan mostrado lo de él queriendo seguir usar su Alice pese al efecto que tiene en él, lo cual en el anime me dieron ganas de darle una ostia y que espabilara.

It has been a long time since I set down and read a very long manga. Yup, you’re not mistaken, there are 180 chapters and 31 volumes in total. Ns truth to be told I actually wanted it to continue, but maybe it will, in a spin-off series, I am still dreaming about that, but if t will, I’ll definitely put the notice on the blog.
But let me get back to the story. To say the truth it has been around a week since I started writing this review, and it’s only because there’s a lot that I want to say, but every time I want to normally start writing the idea slips my mind. I know, it’s so frustrating. Therefore, please do not be hard on me if my review today is too out of blue. I loved this story a lot. I was on the verge of dropping it a few times, but nevertheless the story’s intrigue was too high for me to drop it. Why did I want to drop it? Well, the answer is very simple and unfortunately it contains a major spoiler, but I will say it nevertheless. As you know there are 31 volumes and 180 chapters and in 179 of those our characters are still elementary school kids, the time is going very slow in the story. We finally see the 16 year old Mikan and Natsume only in the last chapter. Yes, that was the main reason why I was frustrated with the story. It covers so many problems, but because the solvers are 10-11 year olds it’s a bit unreal. The love that Mikan has to Natsume and he to her is too unreal for 11-yeal-olds. They truly love each other and trust me, from the part when Mikan leaves whom her parents are I was crying. I had to put away my tablet and compose myself to continue reading. The last 2 volumes are something that I believe everyone should focus their attention. Every emotions come bare, every secret, the author just takes a knife and thrusts it into our hearts.
I remember when I finished this story I couldn’t fall asleep and truth to be told I couldn’t read anything else for several days. All my thoughts were getting back to it. I was getting back and thinking everything over. I believe this is one of the stories that everyone should read. It covers so many human issues that if I start discussing each and every one of them it will take me days maybe even weeks to cover it.
All characters are fantastic and we see a lot of theirs development. Some characters stay as villains, but some do covert to a good side and trust me you want to be there to see it. I can say that all of them have left a deep impact on me. I still can’t agree to the choices that the principals made in the end. Better to say my mind understands, but my heart doesn’t want to acknowledge it. However, the moment when Natsume confessed to Mikan will be I my mind for a long time. I really need to make that list of best ever confessions. I am not a big fan of the whole fate thing, but here I was felt it from the beginning that’s why some moments shattered my heart.
I hope you will start reading this story. It did take me a long time to read, but I was reading it after 12 and that week was full of projects and exam preparations. In my normal days I would have finished it maybe in 2 full days. Are you ready to get to know great characters and also people because of whose ambitions lots of lives were sacrifices and many dreams destroyed. Hodnotím 72% Jazyk: Aj
Pěkná kresba, které se dá bohužel hodně věcí vytknout. Občas měly nějaké části těla divnou velikost, jež se prostě nedala přehlédnout, protože to bilo do očí. Také se zde vyskytoval výškový nepoměr mezi různými věkovými skupinami. Taktéž se mi zdálo mnoho postav velice vzhledově podobných, takže se pak hůře rozpoznávali a bylo jednoduché se v tom ztrácet. U tohohle mohu ale přimhouřit oči, jelikož tu bylo charakterů opravdu požehnaně. Abych tady nezmiňovala jenom zápory, tak musím říci, že se mi hodně líbily zjednodušené kresby, design školních uniforem a ostatního oblečení.
Příběh se mi líbil, a dokonce mě některé momenty dojaly až k slzám. Pomyslela jsem si, že je moc hezké vidět něco tak nezkaženého. S odstupem času jsem ale k celému ději o dost skeptičtější. A překvapilo mě, kolik vad jsem byla schopna nalézt. Avšak ještě divnější bylo, že jsem si příběh byla přesto schopna docela užít.
První vadou je věk postav. Nemyslím tím, že je špatné, že jim bylo okolo deseti, ale to, že na svůj věk byli v některých ohledech až moc vyspělí. Řekla bych, že většina ve všech ohledech, protože především hlavní hrdinka měla tendence se k někomu pořád lísat. A kdyby nebyla tak nízcí, klidně bych prohlásila, že jsou na střední škole. Především když vezmu to, jak byli Mikan a Natsume pokročilý ve svém vztahu. Jako neřekla bych, že vášnivé líbání patří k desetiletým dětem. Ke všemu když se ani šesnáctiletí (nebo kolik jim bylo :D) nedostali tak daleko.
Dalším mínusem byla až přílišná zamotanost příběhu. Což bych nebrala obvykle jako vadu, ale tady to bylo až přespříliš. Začalo to někdy za dvacátou kapitolou. Od té doby jsem byla mnohokrát zmatená a nevěděla jsem, o co jde. Když k tomu navíc připočítáme to, jak moc si jednotlivé postavy byly podobné. A za druhé mě to ani nezajímalo, jelikož nějaký svůj příběh měl skoro každý. To je normálně dobrá věc, neboť to dodává příběhu na důvěryhodnosti. Tady to akorát zbytečně natahovalo příběh o nezajímavé informace o nudný charakterech, a když vezmete v úvahu počet postav... Je to pak úmorné.
Vadou číslo 3 jsou nezajímavé postavy, když nepočítám tedy ty hlavní, ty jsem si velice oblíbila. Ale ostatní mi byli úplně ukradení, a tak jsem přímo trpěla, když se tam objevovaly bubliny se strašně dlouhým textem. Ke všemu když se tam akorát řešily vztahy a jejich zamotanost. Tenhle a tamten miloval támhletu, ta milovalo tamtoho a tak dále. Tím se potom tak nějak vyřešilo všechno, což bylo dost neuvěřitelné. Ta láska se objevovala vážně všude, až to začínalo být nesnesitelné, jelikož nemůže být příčinou a průvodcem všech událostí.
Poslední výrazné mínus je, že nikdo nebyl ve skutečnosti zápornou postavou. Ze všech záporných postav se staly kladné, a nebo byly ukázány hrozně moc dobré "důvody," proč tomu tak je. Pokud teda nebudeme brát jako záporáky ty lidi, kteří stojí za Alice's Academy, neboť ti jediný byli zlí, neboť děti v ní vlastně uvěznili. Ale jelikož ani jeden z nich nebyl ukázán, tak se to nedá počítat.
Výše uvedená věc mi opravdu vadila. Vážně nemám ráda, takhle zkažený lidi, co myslí jen na sebe a na to, jak získat, co nejvíce peněz. Také si mi nelíbí to, jak ostatními opovrhují. Nechápu, proč jim ani nedovolili se vídat se svými rodiči. Jsem překvapená, že už dávno neudělali převrat. Protože bojovat proti zlu zevnitř, většinou moc nefunguje.
Abych jen příběhu něco nevytýkala, tak sem napíšu i nějaké klady. Nebo se o to aspoň pokusím. :D Největší plus bylo působení některých situací na mé emoce. Někdy v průběhu jsem byla opravdu emotivní, dokonce jsem uronila i pár slz. A u scének s Mikan a Natsumem jsem se culila jak malá holka. :D Pár věcí mě tu i pobavilo. A nic dalšího mě nenapadá. Ups...
Konec mi nijak zvlášť radost neudělal, jelikož je tam spoustu nelogických věcí, což mě štve. A celkově mi to přišlo celé divné
Anglické obálky se mi líbí o dost více než ty japonské. Vypadají víc elegantně a vznešeně. Na některých obálkách se mi ale nelíbí kresba postav/y.

Tome 1 à 10 - J'ai décidé de relire les tomes 1 à 4 que j'avais déjà lus il y a deux ans et je suis très contente de l'avoir fait parce que je les ai encore plus appréciés après ma relecture. Les personnages sont vraiment attachants et l'auteure utilise vraiment bien son média pour faire passer son humour et donné beaucoup de vie à son récit. La suite des aventure de Mikan m'a aussi beaucoup plu. J'ai beaucoup aimé la balance entre les conflits majeurs de l'univers et les moments de la vie quotidienne des étudiants. J'ai cependant trouvé ce style de manga un peu plus difficile à lire que quelque chose comme Fruits Basket. Parfois je n'était pas certaine de comprendre le déroulement des évènements entre deux cases ou de bien savoir à quel personnage appartenait les bulles de dialogues. J'ai très hâte de découvrir la suite et de voir les personnages vieillir!

j'avais oublié que l'histoire de Sono ( le propriétaire de Bear, l'alter de peluche vivantes) est hyper bâclée dans le manga comparé a l'animé. même l'auteure dit dans la marge quelle manquait de temps
et j'avais oublié comment y a des refs/joke gay partout MDRRRRRRR

This again is another transition volume from the end of the cultural festival into the exam season. I liked this volume, but again it’s not as high intensity as some of the other volumes, but the series is still great! The manga is so much darker and intense than the anime. This is an older series now, but it still stands up!

New characters =), I feel bad for that guy who have limitless alice -lifespan - I just want him n bear together if he gets better of his best condition. Natsume have limitless n lifespan alice - he's sick n he needs rest.

Amo que Mikan sea un personaje tan inocente, dulce e infantil, pero a su vez tenga aspectos maduros; me gusta el lado humano de Natsume y me gustaría leer la historia de Kaname <3

Contains Chapters 23 - 28: I really enjoyed the Somatic Classes Musical in the first two chapters and seeing all the chaos that caused Mikan and Natsume to end up being in the play and Natsume's wildcat costume was really cute. I also enjoyed the chapter about the dance during the festival. During the last chapter we get to meet Tsubasa's friend Kaname that made Bear.

This book wasn't quite as good as the others. I admit that I came to this series from the excellent anime, whose storyline ends with this book (excepting the final episode, which was kind of a cop-out, admittedly) and for the first time I found the manga inferior to the animated version. There were still interesting bits the anime skipped, but it seemed that there was more heart, for a change, in the anime than the manga. Still an excellent read, and my very favorite manga.

Eine meiner absolut liebsten Manga-Reihen, weil es nicht nur einen tollen Spannungsbogen besitzt, sondern weil die Charaktere sich auch Band um Band weiter entwickeln. Erwachsen werden, dazu lernen. Super schön dargestellt und wirklich angenehmer Zeichenstil. Inzwischen gibts auch einen Anime dazu, der aber im Vergleich zum Manga nicht so gut geworden ist und einen eher älteren Eindruck macht obwohl Alice Academy ein aktueller Manga ist.

Tachibana Higuchi takes it up a notch in the fifth volume as she explores some of the tragedies implied in the world's construction. It's mostly character development fluff, rather than plot, but it does a good job of providing depth and breadth to the world. Very well done.

Lol... Ruka-pyon is so kawaii. ♡ haha! He totally has a crush on Mikan. And it's obvious to everyone else except for Mikan. Like now, he wanted to say "you're cute" to Mikan but said something else instead. XD haha it's so cute that Hotaru picked Mikan to be her last dance. :)))

Mikan ends up in the school play at the last minute. Then she has fun at the school festival dance. Fun story so far, I can't wait to see where it goes in the next volume.
