Homeopathic Medicine at Home This one-volume compendium of homeopathic information includes the history of homeopathy, an explanation of its principles, and advice on dosage. A full pharmacopoeia of natural remedies for common ailments and injuries, it also contains sections on homeopathy for children and pets.
It covers the history and use of homeopathy in the home. It covers a wide variety of aspects of illness and homeopathy and chapters cover the following:
I first started using homeopathic remedies when my daughters got their first earaches. They both took antibiotics one time, and reacted badly to them. A nurse friend suggested going to the homeopathic pharmacy in Baltimore and stocking up on remedies. The next time one of my daughters got an earache, I stayed up with her all night, giving her Belladonna every half hour. The night was hell, but by the next morning, the earache was gone. I went through the same thing with my other daughter. Neither of them has ever had another earache.
That sold me on the value of homeopathic remedies. At the pharmacy in Baltimore, they recommended this book as a standard reference work. My copy is now dog-eared, and missing its front cover. This is a comprehensive overview of the most common homeopathic remedies, and the conditions that they may be used to treat. Anyone interested in homeopathy will find this book a valuable addition to their library.
not worth buying all you have to do is go into a book store and tear a small amount off and drop the piece into a bathtub of water then you just drink that water and you learn everything that was in the book because water has memory
I got this book with the homeopathic kit that I ordered. All in all, it was an okay book for a beginner homeopathic user. I gave it three stars because it has a nice summary of the history of homeopathic medicine and how the remedies are created and how they work. It also has a nice thorough summary of the most common used remedies.
The only reason why I gave it only three stars is because it isn't really user-friendly if you are looking for a remedy quickly. When I have time to review the thorough summaries it is a great reference, but when I want to look up a remedy quickly, the charts that are provided are confusing and inadequate.
I would give this five stars, because it is really easy to read and understand (rare for a homeopathy book), I just wish her remedy tables were easier to use. It is hard to find a remedy quickly when you need it.
This is a much used and much-loved reference books. i love the table for finding remedies according to symptoms. i might as well laminate a copy of page 179.
