This collection of six stories varied from very interesting and very well-written (Typhoon) to dull, vague, and pointless (Heart Of Darkness, which was so bad that I can’t believe anyone would attempt to adapt it into a movie). The last one, Falk, could have been shortened to a single sentence: “Falk is an annoying tugboat master in some small harbor somewhere” — for all I got out of it.
(I have published a longer review on my website, including mini-reviews for each of the six stories.)
