“Have you ever wanted something so bad you was willing to crawl over bodies to get it? I mean, fiend for it so hard it didn’t matter who you hurt, how low you had to scrape, it was gonna be yours? That’s what music and balling did for me. They were the fundamentals behind my rise . . . and the perpetrators of my fall. They called me Harlem’s black prince–a rising star who carried street dreams on his back. But the streets, ya know. They got a way of coming for theirs. A method of sneaking up on you when you ain’t looking . . .”
Andre “Thug-A-Licious” Williams came up on Harlem’s meanest streets. But thanks to his nearly ankle-breaking hoop moves and explosive mic skills, he makes it out–and dominates the rap scene with chart-topping urban hits.
Thug has sexed all the hottest freaks and has a slew of baby mamas to show for it. But no matter how many women he takes to his bed, only one can claim his successful beauty salon owner Carmiesha “Lil Muddah” Vernoy, his ride-or-die queen who has stuck by his side and guarded his back through thick and thin.
But Thug also has a nightmarish history with someone else. Pimp Williams, his older cousin and ex—partner in crime, is a cold-blooded killer who spreads havoc all over Harlem and will stop at nothing to get what he wants–even if it means betraying his own family, crushing Carmiesha, and forcing Harlem’s black prince down to his knees and back to his bloody beginnings.

Noire is an author from the streets of New York whose hip-hop erotic stories pulsate with urban flavor. This book was okay. It proves my theory on lies will literally get you killed. A lie and secret left Carmesha without a man and her son in jail. Pimp got what he deserved in the end, he should have gotten it sooner. But hey, that’s Carmesha’s fault. It’s crazy how she can call the cops because someone is hustling her for money but she couldn’t t call the cops when a guy was constantly raping and beating her. It’s nice to see that every woman isn’t a hoe in these grimmy streets, but here is another book of a woman being used and abused. Glad she overcame it and became a successful business women.
Wasn't the best in my opinion of Noire's work, but still a good read. I listened to the audio version of this book, so the erotic love scenes were pure fire. I loved the relationship between Muddah and Thug, but Thug was a straight up HOE!
Pimp needed his head bashed in early on in this book. I straight hated him.
I Want To Read This Book So Bad. It's A Really Grown Book. I Know This Because My Friend Markeema Has It At Home & She Told Me A Little Bit About It. And Plus Also It Looks Like A Good Book. Just Look At The Cover =] Lol.
Another excellent read! Every book I have read by Noire has been an exciting erotic page turner! This book had several of her old characters as well as new ones. Thug-a-Licious was a hardcore baller & lover that left his mark everywhere he went. True legend!
I read this book back when it first came out. I think about 2006. I read a few books before this one but when I got to this one. Damn! I couldn’t believe this book had the ability to show me that a book could feel like I’m watching a movie while I read it. I love this book forever for that, it opened me up to a new world in literature. Books could actually feel like a movie while reading it.
This book is the reason I decided to become a writer. I don’t remember everything that happened because I read it a while ago but this book got a piece of my heart forever. It made me want to read the rest of her work and just like this one her other books made me fall even more in love with her work. I’m grateful for Noire.
Family ain't nothing. You have to make your own family. Pimp talks all that mess about family and dogs for life and looks what he did to Thug and Muddah. I am glad Smoove got away from him. What happened to TC and Miss Lady didn't have to happen...that was all Pimp. KARMA always comes to see about you.
Maybe I missed it but... What the hell was Pimps issue??? He was all about everything for the family but he the main reason the family needs help is because of him. Not my favorite Noire book but still a good read
This book contains explicit sexual assault. This book was so hard to keep up with. It was long drawn out too graphic in some areas and not graphic enough in others. Probably one of the worst books I’ve ever read….
This book had it all. A herpes infested, rapping basketball star with a thousand kids that met his end only because the love of his life sons killed him. Unbelievable!

The plot is shaky, but the descriptions are awesome. Detailed accounts of events that surely must have happened sometime to someone. Violent. May be triggering for child sexual attack.
This book is about Andre aka Thug who is just another person from the hood trying to make it. Thug had received his name from his grandmother, Mi Mi, who said he would grow up to be a Thug. Noojie, Thugs mother, took in her two nephews Smoove and Pimp after their mom had went to jail. Pimp was an evil person. He would do anything to anybody to get what he wanted. Carmiesha aka Muddah is the love of Thugs life but she didn't want to be with him until he got his life together and took care of all eight of his kids. Carmiesha also has a son who everyone thinks is her nephew. It'll be a surprise to find out who fathered her child. Andre has the choice of going to the NBA and college. Will he give up on the streets to get his life on the right track? What I liked about this book is its imagery, it made me feel as if I was standing right there watching it. This book also made me tear up. What I disliked about this book is how some events were rushed and no reasoning behind it. I would recommend this book for people who read urban dramas.

Noire has done again with this book. Here is another book that's in my collection of must read where I can this bokre over just for the enjoyment of the story.Andre Williams Better known as Thu*A*licious grew up in Harlem with hoops dreams, and a rap career. He makes out of harlem to fufill his goal of becoming a nba all star with a rap career on the side, but his riase wasn't easy Thug*A*licious was a player in the field of women. he had his picks, and choosen of women.Only to find that some of them end up pregnant, but there is only one that has Thug heart, and another person will bring him down from his fame. You have to read the book to see who might bring Thug down, and I guarantee you that you'll be suprised.A must read!!
This was a pretty good book. I actually rate it a 3.5. I enjoyed the author's writing style and the narrator since I listened to the audiobook. I will definitely try out more of Noire's books. This book was about Andre, aka Thug-a-licious and the life he lived. He was in my opinion a man whore. Besides that, he was a talented rap artist and basketball player. He just wanted to get out of the ghetto. Andre had one true love whom he met in his teens, Carmesha, aka Mudda. The story of these two individuals lives and the hardships they endured made me grateful for my humble childhood. This book had plenty of drama and sex. The sex scenes were hot. The ending shocked the mess out of me, somewhat sad and somewhat refreshing. I cheered at the end.
The erotic portions of the book were enough to ignite lust in most , but the story actually showed some depth to it. The circle of death that ended as the fault of Pimp gave the reader gratification for Thug's sexual escapades. Also the revenge scheme gave the book just the right lick of violence that would make it an enjoyable read even without the sex.

This book was good. It has a lot of tragedy in it as well as a lot of erotica. Thug loved women & I really think he had a sex addiction. Has a lot of kids & a lot of baby mommas. I felt so bad for Carmesha aka Mudda. She was dealt a crappy hand. This was a great story & a reminder to always wear condoms. I recommend this book.
Dre Dre Dre...Ive read this book like 3x's and I still don't understand Dres Logic. Just like every other man...smh. Has everything but still chooses to F the best of things up. Great read, I'd recommend to anyone.
Biggest Plot Twist Ever!!!! The story itself is just great. It really gets into detail about what goes down right here in these mean streets. It's a must read book, and I hope anyone who reads it enjoys it as much as I did.
I couldn't wait to finish this book because it was BAD and not in a good way. I became a big fan of Noire, but he seriously let me down with this one. I ended up selling this book I think.
