EARTHMAN
March 1962, and a stranger appears in a remote Scottish village. He is befriended by a young woman and after a relationship ensues, she catches him operation a handheld device. Being 1962, the young woman is intrigued at the piece of futuristic technology. Jack Brewster reveals to Emily the device will prevent a nuclear holocaust and save an alien race from extinction.
Jack explains he is a NASA astronaut abducted by aliens and taken to their planet. Returning to Earth in one of their spaceships, a remote desert in America was the intended landing area but it veered off course.
Jack has to meet with America's president and alert him of an impending attack by his communist foe. As evidence, the device portrays future American cities in rubble. Jack must also put forward an alien plea for relocation and in return they will provide technological and medical expertise.
Missing for three years with an unbelievable story and no proof of identity, Jack would face problems. Emily proposes a solution and the couple embark on an adventure. As tension between America and Russia heightens, time is an enemy for Jack, as well as the human and alien race.

EARTHMAN is set in 1962 and a time when the Cold War was at its height. in October of that year, America and Russia were about to unleash a nuclear holocaust on the planet and civilisation held its breath.
The story begins in a remote village in the Scottish Highlands. A stranger with an American accent appears from nowhere and interest amongst locals heighten. He is befriended by a young woman who takes a shine to him. She has graduated from university and seeks adventure. Being stifled in a rural highland village is suffocating her. When she learns about the stranger's identity and a mission he has to complete, Emily accompanies Jack Brewster on an adventure. It is the opportunity she has been waiting for.
The genre for EARTHMAN is Science Fiction but Historical Fiction and Romance can also be adapted. The story has a mysterious slant and a sub-plot which involve an alien race. The avoidance of a nuclear war between the super-powers in the story is a strong possibility.
