Any other day, a bounty on Gunny’s head would be his biggest problem.
Everything Gunny worked for is stripped away in a second. His clients frame him for murder and now every bounty hunter has him in their sights for the biggest reward the Station has ever seen.
But before Gunny can save himself, a new adversary gives him an impossible choice-- kill the most powerful person on Station Noir, or watch the most important person in his universe executed.
If you enjoy non-stop action, interstellar intrigue, and galactic crime you will love Gunny’s thrilling adventures in Double Cross, the 5th book of Space Station Noir. Get your copy today!
But, holy cow, these books are dark. And a book this dark shouldn't make me laugh as much as I did (Clive is... so Clive). And really, really bad things happen (bad enough I want to cry). There is an extremely high body count, thanks to what I'm going to call Evil Overlords, and significant violence (which goes with the body count). I should have waited until after Christmas to read Double Cross, but I love Gunny, Clive, and their crew so much I had to know what happened after Shadow Games. Buckle your seat belts; this ride is a twisty thrill.
Clive and Gunny have gotten themselves between a rock and a hard place. They thought they were doomed when they had their boss killed and framed for it. Oh no, that was just the beginning. Now they're on the other end of an extortion scheme to kill the head of the station and force humanity into slavery again. What are they going to do? Well, a lot, since the book is about very cunning criminals doing a lot of very cunning things.
I could not wait on this book and it is just as comedic and action packed as I dreamed it to be. I had so much fun reading this book! This man is for always a ‘Clive’ fan. Fruit truck.
