This was an interesting book. It reminded me a lot of the works of W.E.B. Griffin, only with more detail on battles. Lots of details and interesting characters. I'm a sucker for good WW II fiction anyway and the story of the founding of the Navy SEALs filled the bill. I will probably continue with the series.

Excellent start to this series. Engaging characters!

My father was one of the Scouts and Raiders, the UDT's that were the early beginnings of what we call the Seals. Little has been written about what the Scouts and Raiders did in WWII. This book is one of a series that is a fictionalized account of the UDTS' s. Having said that many of the events in the book are reminders of stories my father told me.
