Grayson Woodford, the stubborn heir to the Scanguards empire, resents the fact that his father, Samson, is trying to play matchmaker and set him up with the daughter of an old friend.
Vampire hybrid Monique Montague is just as pissed off with her father, Cain, the vampire king of Louisiana, for trying to trick her into dating Grayson, whom she only remembers as spoiled and arrogant from when they were kids. She refuses to attend the party where she’s supposed to meet Grayson, and instead, picks up a stranger in a bar for a night of wild sex, not realizing that the stranger is no other than Grayson.
After their night of passion, a kidnapping suddenly turns their world upside down and thrusts them back together. Forced to work with each other, they have to set aside their prejudices in order to save their families.

I could maybe round this up to 3 but.. THERE WAS A KIDNAPPING as the final conflict!Ugh! Also in general, the book was super repetitive and lots of tell AND show and tell some more. The inside guy was so obvious from the very beginning. Also I was annoyed with all the stopping to have sex while both their fathers were in mortal danger. Almost all the timing in this book was just off. Better luck next time because generally I enjoy this series. I'm looking forward to Isabelle's book. Happy reading.
Gotta say, I was expecting more punishment for Grayson to get his mate, but this definitely served well.
Grayson has been such a spoiled brat for most of the time we get to know him throughout the series and spin-offs. He’s arrogant, a playboy, and definitely relies heavily on his father being the head of Scanguards to get his way. His father, however, has had enough. He has decided to scheme with Cain, who also happens to have a spoiled child. With the stars aligning and them both being in the same city, they plan to see if they are compatible. They both react as predicted, except that they never officially meet at the function. Being the independent and reckless hybrids they are, they end up hooking up with no involvement from their parents then, as expected, freaking out when the matchmaking scheme is revealed.
This all quickly takes a back seat when both their fathers are in peril and need the whole team to mobilize to save them. Here’s where the book kind of lost me. The Grayson we see working with Monique to save their dads is a completely new character. He’s got none of the brat attributes and even dives headfirst into a relationship with Monique after mocking his friends with mates. Weird, but necessary. If you can get beyond that, the smut level is high and the HEA is solid here. It was also nice to be reminded that no characters are invulnerable.
Monique and Grayson's Shakespearean Tryst! 3.25***** Spoiler Alert
Monique and Grayson rebelled against their parents matchmaking attempts only to meet as strangers in a Vamp bar. They hooked up only to enjoy each other sexually, got to know each other, mate bond, fought against Uncle Abel( from Cain and Abel??) and defeated him. These two now co-manage New Orleans Scanguards, definitely HEA! The traitor, William, was predictable, awhile the several fight scenes and invasions were interesting. This novel did not delve into the original back story among Cain and Abel, so I probably need to read the earlier novels.

Grayson and Monique's parents want to set them up which they both rebel against. Interestingly, they both have already hooked up and can't seem to stay away from each other. They don't recognize each other and have used other versions of their names. When they do figure out who the other is, their worlds are in turmoil because their fathers have been kidnapped. They work well together to try to find them. Oddly, they are both competing for the job of CEO of Scanguards at the New Orleans branch. That part didn't make a lot of sense to me because unless I missed it, Monique doesn't have experience with Scanguards or any training in security. It was a passionate book full of suspense.
Grayson's Challenge: Scandguards Hybrids book 3...
Scandguards Vampires book 15. Fanfreakingtastic read. Grayson, yes the son of Samson and Delilah gets his story. So his dad wants to set him up. Grayson is continually trying to prove himself. Hey finds out about the set up and all hell breaks loose. Some lies, betrayal and a blast from the past puts this story on some twisty crazy hinges. Grayson and Monique fall for each other as they try to save their fathers. There is action, angst, drama and oh so tingle worthy.
With a chance hook up with a female vampire named Mona, Gray, which also is not his real name, does not know that this is the vampire he was meant to be with. But now there has been a kidnapping and their fake identities are revealed and they aren't thrilled about it. Now they join forces to find the hostages and bring down the leader before they can resolve their situation. Full of twists and turns and betrayals.
What can I say but Ms Folsom knows how to write a book. The action, mystery and heartfelt love story all wrapped into one. I love reading this vampire series. Greyson and Monique are made for each other. Greyson is a arrogant spoiled but a great guard. And Monique is a spoiled Princess but smart. What will it take for them to come together? Well it was a ride that you don’t want to miss out reading.
I truly loved Grayson and Monique's story. It was funny and full of twists and out I can't wait for Isabelle's story. Tina Folsom is a must read author. She is the only author I purchase books from.
I love all the Scanguards Vampires books. You will not be disappointed. There is sexual attraction, biting, definitely sex, drama and intense moments… Looking forward to Book 16.
