I was able to meet the author of this book in person. he was a pretty nice guy and had me interested when he said Appalachian horror. Being a good ol Kentuckian I had to read it. This book gave me all the shivers and inaudible gasps at many moments throughout the book.
Motivation for reading - very busy at work on a proposal these days, so a Satanic horror novella is actually a good break. This was a fun quick read surrounding a group of folks in the woods trying to bring about the apocalypse. A lot of blood and cockroaches take the center stage here.
