After breaking into the industry at a young age, Sean Gordon Murphy made a name for himself in the world of indie comics before joining up with DC. In his tenure, he has worked on such titles as Batman/Scarecrow: Year One, Teen Titans, Hellblazer, Joe The Barbarian, and the critically acclaimed miniseries American Vampire: Survival Of The Fittest and The Wake with Scott Snyder. Murphy also wrote and illustrated the original graphic novel Offroad and the popular miniseries Punk Rock Jesus.
Let's start at the beginning. The little flashback to Bruce's decision to take Dick in was a strong opening, especially after the end of the last issue. I'm always up for scenes like that, and I think they're sometimes the best part of the comic.
I also think it's nice that all the heroes have come together now, even if it happened rather quickly. Dick and Barbara's reconciliation in particular was so quick that I couldn't believe it. Dick didn't either, and quite rightly so. All he has to do is almost get killed and all is forgiven and forgotten. That's a bit rushed.
But anyway, it was still better than the fact that everyone can see the Joker, but it wasn't explained why until a few pages later. I understand why some people have problems with the Joker's appearance. Personally, I can't quite get used to it yet either.

I love this universe. I say it every time. But in this version? I especially love Joker Hologram. I lol'd in this one. Great action, team rebuilding, and a plan. I hope there's more when this one concludes.
4.5 stars. The ending of the previous issue had me scared as hell but everything worked out like I wanted! The scene of Dick, Babs, and their son was PRECIOUS! Ugh, I love them so much!
