A visual tribute to the Arctic civilization by the award-winning photographer of Seasons of the Seal captures a time prior to the arrival of technology and offers insight into the harrowing survival conditions endured by local people and animals.
A stunning collection of black and white photographs capturing the end of the traditional Arctic lifestyle. Interesting commentary as well, although the structure of the photographs (by topic not chronology) led to duplication of information and difficulty following the author's trips. A map would have been helpful.
