He’s a grumpy Navy Seal. She’s a loving single mom. Could these opposites be perfect for each other?
Ryker
I’m known for a lot of things, but I never imagined perpetually angry would be one of them. I thought I had everything I needed in life. I’d accomplished so much. I’d experienced more than most people ever would. But one thing I’ve never experienced is getting dumped by the woman I loved, and that’s something I never want to experience again.
Gabby
I’ve always loved the Oregon Coast. It’s the one place that always made me feel safe. When my grandfather left me his home, I was not only honored but excited to share the place that brought me so much happiness when I was young with my daughter. Life was finally perfect, but when I lay eyes on the handsome but slightly grumpy next-door neighbor, I begin to think life would be a lot more perfect with him in it.

The plot had potential, was excited when I read the description, but the writing was all over the place. Story, to me, had now flow.

I tried really hard to finish this book and I just couldn’t. It wasn’t realistic at all. I got to the part where the baby that was stolen was reunited with his family. But instead of calling police or the FBI who was dealing with the parents, they just gave the baby to the parents who showed up by themselves, took the baby , and then walked away. Like, REALLY????

The conversations between all of the characters were hard to follow, I couldn’t quite make out who was talking at any given time.

Overall it was not a well written book.

The protagonists are formidable alpha males, each possessing a heart of gold hidden beneath a tough exterior. With unwavering bravery, they put their lives on the line to rescue the innocent and relentlessly pursue those who threaten peace. Love catches them off guard, igniting a fierce devotion that drives them to protect not only their beloved but also the brothers in arms they consider family.

This gripping tale pulls readers deep into a thrilling tapestry of action, intrigue, and peril, unveiling layers of complexity as the tension escalates and the stakes soar to unimaginable heights. When she finds herself ensnared in danger, he transforms into a relentless force, ready to obliterate anyone foolish enough to harm her, all while standing as her steadfast guardian.

I gave this book a 3 star because it needs work. I tried really hard to read the whole thing but I just couldn't do it. The author has good ideas but the book is lacking emotion. It is more like you are reading cold facts of what the characters are doing, however there is no actual emotion or feeling to any of it. Some of it is even childish, as if the author is a young or very new writer.

Could not finish this book. The writing was so very simplistic. It resembled something written as a class assignment by a grade eight student - simple words, no nuance, little to no complexity to any of the characters. Also there was no difference between the main characters voices (written voices not audio ones). More than once I had to return to the start of the chapter to see who was speaking. And although the main characters were supposed to be mature, successful adults, both sounded more like adolescents who were describing their weekend. A real disappointment. I’m done with this series.

This was an excellent book. For me there is always something going on so I'm not bored while reading. Between Gabby, Ryker and Madison, Gabby's daughter there is never a dull moment. There is humor of course, I mean when my husband asked me what I was laughing about, I read him the passage. You'll have to read the book to know what I'm talking about, no spoilers from me. There's danger from traffickers, a kidnapping and everything in between. HEA.

Story was ok. A bit rushed in places.
Author needs to pay more attention to the quotation marks - used when they shouldn't be, not used when they should be. Makes it a bit difficult to read as the quotation marks don't align with the conversation.
I'm not sure if I will read another book by this author.

Excellent

Was a good afternoon read. Couldn't out it down. Alfa seals and a country singer and extended family that all look out for there own. Add in a couple family pets that decide they like each other also adds a little laugh out loud to the story also. Human trafficking is not a fun thing to read about but it happens all over the states. There are people out there trying to stop it but they are brutal and dangerous.

Many challenges. A SEAL security tome that doesn’t disappoint. There are hot men, beautiful women, captive children. People to protect, others to rescue, one or two that need medical care and some to fall in love. There are surprises around every corner with even a pet or two. The best part there are more SEALS to learn about.

Quick Read

This is a fast paced book that I was able to read in one day. There were a couple of typos here and there but the storyline was decent. I had to remember to look at each chapter heading through because each chapter was written as if one of the main characters was telling their part of the story.

Sweet fast paced story. Sexy and enjoyable. It felt a little too fast paced for me, I want yes. But I also like this book, the characters are likeable and I already have the next book ready to read as I want to know Lincoln and Allies story.

Not good

Dialogue is bad, plot isn't that much better. Some scenes arent bad and then there's a page that should've been a couple chapters to actually make much sense and the dialogue is choppy and seems AI generated.

This book has a good story line

This book has a good story line And the characters were very interesting. I don't like narrative books so it's not 1 of my favorites And I think the author could have done more with it but I like her style. It's a fairly quick read

I read a lot of military books and this one was just so different. I am definitely going to be reading the rest of the series.

Unrealistic

Plot events described. No character history or change. Unrealistic. Never any consequences when main character kills a bad guy. No money problems.

Great story

This is a good story and the characters are realistic as well. The only thing is that there were too many crimes in the story.

Good story line

The story line was good. Aside from the few typos and out of place quotation marks, the story was easy to follow and understand.

Ryker is a bit bitter & full of himself. Gabby is made to be sweet with a backbone. The story was packed with a lot of action & on going drama. The chemistry could have been stronger & natural. The dialogue & thoughts needed more feelings.

Reads very flat with no texture. Elementary style writing structures.
