I received this book as an ARC and I have to say I was impressed. It's not your typical royal romance but I loved the direction it was going in. Lucie is a fierce woman with a heart of gold and Alex is the dominant king that wants to give her the world. I love their relationship and how they handled the obstacles they faced. Love this book!

If you're looking for a unique royal romance then this is the book for you. The book is set in modern day France but the monarchy is still in place and the society is male dominated. King Alexandre is pressured to find a wife to which he finally agrees, but he decides to do it his way or no way at all. He has a letter sent to every eligible woman in town asking one simple question, What would you do if you were queen?
The responses he received were less than impressive but there was one that stood out to him. She left the pages blank and when confronted about it, she refused to answer him but that only made him want her more. He decided she would be his wife.

DNF @32%. The book is giving post-2014 wattpad. Would be better with comprehensive revision.

Fanfic

Basically a poorly written fan fic with a lot of predictable tropes. Would not recommend even if it was on AO3, this author could be great just needs a lot of work on Plot, (and holes).

I haven't read a book quite like this ever. The concept was new for me and Alex and Lucie had the tension and banter that I wish all book couples have. Could not put down this one.
