Although their father says it cannot be done, two brothers are determined to climb the magnificent waterfall that they come across while camping, in a story that reflects the author's deep love of outdoors.
Jonathan London is the author of several celebrated children's books. His commitment to honoring the wonders of the natural world has been lauded by readers and critics alike. He is the author of more than 70 children's books, many of which are about nature. He's also the author of the popular Froggy series. He lives in Graton, California with his wife and two sons.
London Odyssey #83 The London Odyssey continues with another nature focussed tale, with some nice illustrations and a good story. Some may be disturbed by the skinny dipping scene but it's really not much to be concerned about.
I selected this book, because I thought it would be a good connection to waterfalls, but the focus is more on the exploration, the family hike and camping trip, and of challenging yourself. I wish when the family reached the top, the focus of the story incorporated more about the beauty and strength of the waterfall, but it didn't. It is a good read for outdoor adventure, though.
