A great little selection of 14 short meditations that cover much of the mindfulness and modern Buddhist scene currently available. I would have liked some of the meditations to be longer, but these certainly give a taste for each meditation and also offer all the information required for one to learn and then self-practice each type of meditation. SZ's voice is easy to listen to, and also a good meditation companion to start off with.
Sharon Salzburg is part of the American Buddhist movement as a leading meditation teacher, social activist, writer and co-founder of 2 major mediation centers in Massachusetts. Her teaching style is very easy, casual and accessible, as the mediation and instructions in this audiobook beautifully demonstrate. A good place to start a beginning sitting practice or to set the refresh button on your practice if you are a more experienced meditator.
This has been one of my favorite books to listen to on Audio. It is one of the closes I have gotten to Ascension practice. It helps to reinforce the values of love and kindness. Different was clearly intention and daily practice, mindfulness in prayer and living. I enjoy the audio best which is about two hours.
These are a group of fourteen meditations, written and read by Sharon Salzberg. I especially appreciate the walking meditation, and the simple yet profound lovingkindness meditation.
