I would say this was the least exciting of the books so far, only that makes it sound like it wasn't exciting. Which definitely isn't true. Possibly just because it isn't actually war time any more, it wasn't quite so intense. At the same time, the climax was one of the best. Well, I always think that, but that's because this series has absolutely epic climaxes.
This had a very interesting premise, and was completely different to the others. It took me a bit longer, but I really did like it. I love how all three change and grow each book - especially Peter.
When I reached the end, I wanted to start the next book right away. In fact I didn't realise it was the end for a minute, and then I was sorry, because that means that I'm now over halfway through the series. And I don't want to be! XD I would be quite happy to keep reading about Peter, Elise, and Henrick for many many more books.
Also, the scene with the radio was soo suspenseful. Even if the book on the whole didn't feel as intense, it certainly had its moments!
This has definitely hit my list of favourite series now, and I'm just so sorry to only have three books left! Once I start on one of these books, I can't put it down. At all. And usually end up reading it all at once. And then wanting the next one. Even though they all stand alone, and never leave you hanging at the end!
So happy to have stumbled on this series.
