Honor Bound

Rate this book
Amaia accepts the right of the Demon Clans to rule the cities of America as they've done for centuries, but she can't understand her own clan's desire to exterminate even the werewolves who have retreated to the forests and into hiding. When her patrol squad catches a young wolf, terrified and alone, Amaia helps the girl escape torture and eventual death at the hands of her clan, even knowing the penalty for such treason is her own death.

Orion has two things left in the world: his honor and his sister. When a gorgeous demon crashes into the middle of his pack with his terrified sister in tow and an elite squad of assassins on her heels, honor dictates he protect her. But his pack, weary from war, is more than willing to turn Amaia over in exchange for their own lives, even though demons are known for their willingness to betray.

Amaia and Orion's only hope is to combine forces, an unheard of partnership between demon and werewolf made dangerous by their undeniable attraction. Orion may have the warrior skills necessary to defeat assassins, but can he trust his safety--and his heart--to a demon with the power to kill with a kiss?

I won this book in the TBR-list challenge 2, so I had to read it...being a WINNER and all :D

I loved this beautiful, sexy and action packed short story. Orion and Amaia were great together, from the second they met all the way through. Enemies turned lovers made them the perfect match *sigh*

'He's hoping you'll kill me in my sleep, I imagine." Or fuck me into a coma. "If you want to ruin his plans, don't try to kill me."

3.5 stars. A solid little novella that I flew through. I could definitely see this being part of a series for sure. It would have been a higher rating if it was a full length book and if the L word (love) wasn't used after only knowing each other for 2 days, lust is great but insta-love is a big nope and I felt that the word was just randomly chucked in there when the book would have ended fine without them confessing their undying love for each other.

Honor Bound is a great free read from Moira Rogers that I truly liked. It’s quite different with the idea of werewolves and demons and the set-up feels new and unique which I really liked, it’s one of the reasons why I’m so found of Moira Rogers each story feels fresh and unique, being original and a truly great read whether it’s a free read, a novella or a full length novel. I really liked Orion from Honor Bound I can’t say exactly why but he really appealed to me and I liked his character and how he interacted with Amaia. Amaia was great too, she was interesting but very kick ass and deadly which I really enjoyed.

Overall, I really liked Honor Bound it was a great sexy short read and would highly recommend it partly because it’s a free read and partly because I really enjoy Moira Rogers work.

This was a quick short story in ebook format. I was bored at work and so decided to sneak in a read. I'm still new to the paranomal romance genre, so I wasn't sure what to expect with this one especially since it was labeled erotica. Probably something I shouldn't read at work, but I needed to stay awake so oh well. Even though it had typos and it was a rough draft I didn't think it was too bad. The characters were professing love of course at the end of the 42 pages, but considering they got into bed after 7 pages I wasn't that bothered by it. lol. Overall, it was hot, hot, hot and not something you should get caught out reading by your boss. ;)

This was a very fast, steamy read. It's a paranormal short story about werewolves and demons. Amaia who is part of a Demon clan hunting a young werewolf through the forest, ends up saving her and becoming part of the target. Orion an Honor bound werewolf helps Amaia escape for the time being, due to the fact that the young werewolf she saved was his sister. What happens next causes the temperature in the room to rise :op You will have to read it for yourself, it is after all a short story and I don't want to ruin it for you by giving to much away.

I liked this book. It was short and I was able to read it within an hour. It was as good as it sounded, which means it was really good. This would have been even better as a longer book, but I'll take what I can get! This was a good story and I think it was one of the best e-books I've ever read.(Well the only one...) I'm glad I read it and I loved the book, beginning to end.

The story starts out with the escape of Callisto from a demon tribe with the help of a demon tribe member named Amaia. What later occurs is that Amaia falls in love with Orion, who is a powerful werewolf; along with Callisto brother. To say the least, I really liked this short story and the passionate love scenes that play out!!! Very steamy and a well rounded short story!!! :-)

Interesting to say the least, a demon and a werewolf...
A demon finally got a conscious and couldn't kill a young werewolf and saved her, thus accidently indebting herself to her brother. He stops at nothing to live up to his honor and ends of falling in love with the very thing that has killed some many of his people.

I did really like this story but only gave it 3 stars because it was so short. Normally I love a well done short great read, but I finish and for the first time I wished this was the first book of a series of books. I loved the character and the story was great! I just wanted more! If there are more to come I would change my rating to 4 stars.

The world was I.triguing, but insufficient world building. Amaia and Orion both likable but not enough development and the romance nit believable. This would have worked better in a longer format where the romance, character development and storyline could have been expanded.

I think the werewolf/demon war is an interesting idea, and the writing deserves much more than one star, but the execution of the action was so thick that I actually got bored with it by chapter three. There's just no down-time between the big scenes and it all just blurs together.

Short, fun and free, it’s a good way to start the weekend off. And the best part was all the growling and groaning going on… oh and let’s not forget biting.
