Beyond the mere curiosity of, did you really do that? There's something disturbingly tantalising about imagining the erotic story-teller becoming aroused while writing, and recounting the throes of passion that inspired their story.
I'd tell you that Ms. Kitt can write sex (and oh yes, she can) but that's not what's most enjoyable about this book. It feels less like made-up stories and more like those lazy evenings and quiet drinks with close friends, watching them blush as they share the naughty tales of their private lives. The appeal is not about enormous phalluses, beach-ball sized breasts, or spectacular bedroom gymnastics. It's about real people willing to share their intimate, and sometimes embarrassing, moments.
Would you, dear reader, be as brave as Ms. Kitt about sharing your private experiences? As for me, I promise to spill the kinky details when we have a few drinks some day.
