About the author

Cindy Dees started flying airplanes while sitting in her dad’s lap at the age of three and got a pilot’s license before she got a driver’s license. At age fifteen, she dropped out of high school and left the horse farm in Michigan where she grew up to attend the University of Michigan.

After earning a degree in Russian and East European studies, she joined the U.S. Air Force and became the youngest female pilot in the history of the Air Force. She flew supersonic jets, VIP airlift and the “C-5” Galaxy, the world’s largest airplane. She also worked part-time gathering intelligence. During her military career, she traveled to forty countries on five continents, was detained by the KGB and East German secret police, she got shot at, flew in the first Gulf War, met her husband and amassed a lifetime’s worth of war stories.

Her hobbies include professional Middle Eastern dancing, Japanese gardening and medieval reenacting. She started writing on a one-dollar bet with her mother and was thrilled to win that bet with the publication of her first book in 2001.

This was terrible. There was almost no plot, no characterizations, and precious little backstory for this unfinished series. Save your money. I read it for free through my public library.

Dr. Athena Carswell, using alien technology retrieved from roswell, and her own psychic powers, is on the brink of making time travel possible and enters Colonel Peter Grafton, new head of the project, with psychic ability to get into other's dreams, and with a push to get results... and they are at odds, though attracted to one another... he uses the device and enters Athena's erotic dream of him... his heightened security saves the crown from being stolen... but at end (after they have become lovers for real) another attack leaves them with the scroll stolen, and a guard/friend killed...so they risk the crown to send Peter back in time... and he is able to save the guard (wear a Kevlar vest), and to hide the scroll (substituting a scribbled one instead)... yay...

I really enjoyed this. Especially the bit where she teased him and he was in a meeting but no one could see her but him. Very sexy
