A NOTE ABOUT FRIENDING: I will happily friend you back if you friend me! Goodreads is, after all, about discussing books we both love. I will NEVER self-promote my books to you. And if you self-promote your books to me, no matter how nicely, I'm deleting you off my list. Sorry. Goodreads is about fun, not spam.

A NOTE ABOUT MY REVIEWS: Hey, look at that! Most of my reviews are really positive! This is not me kissing ass - It's because at heart, I am a lazy reader. If I'm not enjoying a book, I don't finish it. I don't review anything I didn't finish, ergo, most of the reviews I put up here are pretty much positive across the board because I finished them and was happy with the story. Makes sense, right?

"Let’s go on a road trip!"
I flicked one of the blueberries off my pancakes and shoved it to the edge of the plate. “What do you mean, a road trip?”
"Like Thelma and Louise."
"They died in that movie, Remy."
She grinned. "Yeah, but we’re immortal, baby. We can drive off as many cliffs as we want."

In this book:
Jackie will be cursed and she keeps making people permanently unconscious when she touches them.
Vampire Zane abandons her.
Fallen angel Noah abandons her.

Only crazy Remy is willing to help. So the two succubus will start a road trip to New Orleans where a voodoo succubus priestess lives so that Jackie can have her curse removed.

Once more Jackie will not be able to stay away from trouble.
Wizards, demons, vampires, porn lovers, porn stars, the vampire queen and a mysterious stalker will want a piece of her.

And once more I could not stop giggling while I was reading.
I suppose the most important thing is that no matter the obstacles, Jackie stays faithful to her lovers....kind of.

I usually shy away from these sorts of books because they come across too light, fluffy and cutesy - but I had it on the bookshelf forever and it ended up fitting a reading challenge I was doing. I'm happy I took the dive because I ended up enjoying it more than I figured I would, although I likely won't continue with the series unless they come to me cheaply and conveniently. I also rarely start with the second book of a series, but again it fit a challenge and I don't own the first one.

Jackie is a relatively new succubus who falls in hot water when she agrees to accompany another succubus, who is her friend, on a road trip. Along the way they run into trouble and find out dead bodies pop up as fast as hormones sizzle when Jackie finds herself mysteriously cursed from the onset. Besides fleeing and solving the dangerous situation, there's also the uneven love triangle with a vanishing vampire (Zane) and half-angel being (Noah.) In the world-building, only a succubus can be created and controlled with this sort of pairing. Odd I know, but it works for this storyline.

Jackie isn't a horrible main character, although she's not the brightest or loyalist. She has a lot to solve in her personal life but she doesn't put in on the priority burner. Her friend is a delight since she brings most of the genuine comedy to the story, and without this side character the book would have sank into dangerous rating territory. Zane is just kind of there sometimes, and I'm not sure if it's because I didn't read the first book, but I'm not getting the appeal. He's hardly around, disappears on his whim, and doesn't seem convincingly devoted. Noah is more likable because he at least cares more, but again Jackie and him don't have any trust in their pairing.

A book called "Succubus Hot" of course has sex scenes, but they didn't interest me as much as the humor that carried the story. Myles writes fluffy stuff well and clearly has fun with these characters. The story wasn't enough to hold my attention more than a three star rating, but it was still cute and a fun way to spend a few carefree hours. Just don't expect to bond with the characters all that much if you're coming in to the story on the second book - expect to laugh and grin instead.

Jackie thought she was getting her life back on track by taking a job with the New City University archaeological team. She has recently been turned into a succubus, which means she has to have sex every couple of days to sate the “itch” that arises. She turns to her two masters, fallen angel Noah and vampire Zane who more than willingly scratch the itch for her. However, these days, Jackie is noticing the need to have sex is increasing, to almost every day. One would think having sex with two beautiful and very sexy men wouldn’t be that much of a hardship, but Jackie soon discovers her need for more sex is going to have deadly consequences. It is hard to kill an immortal such as a succubus, but being cursed, is a sure, although slow way. Another side effect of the curse is wiping the brains of any mortal she touches. She puts them into a comatose state, and when she uses her succubus powers to reach into them to wake them up, she can’t find the person.

The only other succubus Jackie knows, is porn star Remy Summore (ram-me-some-more….HA) who is fast becoming a good, albeit unique friend. Remy has no idea who cursed Jackie nor how, but she has an idea how to find out. Remy is also dealing with her own demon possession, Joachim, from the first book, and Joachim often wants to come out and “play,” which soon causes many problems for Jackie. Remy suggests a trip to New Orleans to meet up with a very old Succubus, who is also a voodoo priestess. Jackie wants to get there as fast as she can, but Remy has a porn movie to promote and begs Jackie to go on a road trip. Reluctantly Jackie agrees.

Jackie is hesitant to tell Noah or Zane about the curse, with their already rocky relationship. In fact, Noah is tired of sharing Jackie and wants her to make a decision. Jackie is not ready to commit to one person, when Noah is not available during the night and vice versa for Zane. She needs them both, especially now that her sexual needs are greater. Noah is done with sharing and tells Jackie he needs space. Devastated, and not wanting to have sex with strangers on her road trip, she convinces Zane to come with her.

Not far into the trip, Zane discovers Jackie is cursed and abruptly leaves. Now Jackie is on her own, and very horny. Worse, she is being followed by a tall, dark stranger. Luc is willing to help Jackie make it to New Orleans, but Jackie doesn’t know if she can trust this stranger or if she can be with someone other than Zane and Noah. When threats and bloody bodies start surrounding Jackie, she hopes Zane or Noah will come to the rescue and find a cure for her curse, before it is too late.

Succubi Like it Hot is a really fun book. I enjoyed it so much!! While I liked the first book in the series, Gentlemen Prefer Succubi, I think this is the book where Jill Myles really hits her stride. While I found Jackie a little over the top and silly in the first book, in Succubi Like it Hot, she really starts coming to terms with her out of control life, yet she still will make you giggle throughout. She really is at the mercy of men to feed her sex needs, or she will eventually die. It is almost like she lost a little bit of the cocky, sarcastic attitude and the realization of her new life starts to sink in. Plus, with the curse that is slowly killing her, her immortality is in question, and she becomes desperate to find a cure. At one point in the book, she says she has to start doing things for herself. She can’t care if Zane or Noah or an innocent gets hurt, which is something always on her mind. She gains some independence with the realization that she has to make decisions to save her own life.

While Remy has no problem having sex with anything that moves, Jackie just can’t have sex with strangers. She trusts (to a certain degree) Zane and Noah. That trust is really tested when Zane takes off at the beginning of their road trip. While I was all for Team Zane (yes I must declare teams) in Gentlemen Prefer Succubi, Succubi Like It Hot gives you lots of time to come to love Noah, and I must say, I fell hard for him. Don’t get me wrong, he has his secrets too – and Jackie knows it. But he truly loves Jackie and really tries to prove that in this book. Noah isn’t perfect though. Jackie has a hard time trusting Zane because he takes off and keeps many secrets. Yet at the same time, Noah spouts off commands to Jackie and because he is her master, she has no choice but to follow. While both men declare they only have their best intentions towards Jackie, they both follow through on actions that puts doubts in Jackie’s mind.

There are a few instances where Jackie overlooks details that really stood out. Threats written on mirrors, certain people turn up very, very dead, people stalking her and she just kind of brushes it off at first, without much concern. I feel like she should have been a little more in tune with the warning signs around her. I also sometimes question the absolute love and devotion Noah and Zane give to Jackie, for not knowing her very long. However, these books run over the span of weeks, and as the reader you don’t see every interaction with them, so I suppose there has been a solid basis for a relationship.

The end of the book is going to give you the itch until the third book comes out! I even had a little sniffle. This book is still full of plenty of humor and lots of hot sexin’ by the boys. One of my favorite scenes is with Noah in the shower. I have to agree with Jackie when she says it is “the best shower I’d ever had.”

Succubi Like It Hot is steamy, full of laughs and just an all around entertaining book. The Succubus Diaries series has made it onto my favorites list.

"You think you are so clever, with your masters wrapped around your pretty little finger." His eyes blazed blue fury into mine. Do you never stop to wonder why they are so fascinated with you? Why they are obsessed with possessing you and stealing you away from the other?"
"All those Kegel exercises?!"

Another fantastic edition to The Succubus Diaries. It was action packed and loads of fun. It seems I sit to read this book and before I know it I'm finished, it Sucked me in, literally. Jackie and Remy set out on a roadtrip to New Orleans in hopes of removing a lethal curse that has been placed on Jackie.

Jackie learned along the way to fend for herself because she might not always have the luxury of having a gorgeous angel or sinister sexy vampire to scratch her Itch when she needs it. Either way this book had plenty of scorchingly hot sex from her lustworthy masters, and it left me wanting more. Noah and Zane are a sight to behold but they've only got eyes for Jackie, however she has eyes for them both. Surely she has to make a decision eventually, but until she does I'm along for the ride and loving every minute of it. In the end my heart still belonged to a naughty vampire named Zane. ;)

Despite his wild side, there was something about him that called to me. Maybe it was his roguish attitude, or his lust for pleasure, or the tender way held me when we made love, as if he was afraid I'd
disappear and he'd never see me again.....Remy disapproved of him, but I kept coming back like a junkie needing a fix."

I was excited read that my favorite Porn star/Succubus had remained a loyal friend to Jackie, and she's as slutty as ever which is obvious to everyone except herself. She's great entertainment!

Remy nodded slowly. "It was hard to tell at first-Victoria wasn't exactly the most chaste of succubi, not like you or me." Boy, if porn star Remy was an example of chastity, Victoria must have been a hard-core tramp.

I loved the first book and this one is even better. It's loaded with plenty of action, mystery, seduction, and steamy sex,
all while on the disastrous road to New Orleans.

Hell has no furry like a Vampire named Zane when you threaten to take away his most prized possession, and I don't mean his breathtaking black wings.

Succubi Like it Hot is the second book in Jill Myles' The Succubus Diaries series. Jackie Brighton a newly turned succubus who narrates the story from first person point of view. It's not enough that Jackie is struggling with being a succubus, which means she has to have sex every few days or she will eventually shrivel up and die, but she has also recently been cursed. For some reason whenever she touches a human they fall asleep right at her feet. A mysterious man keeps following her and it seems she needs sex more and more frequently. Jackie travels down to New Orleans to see if she can find another succubi who can help her remove the curse.

I found Succubi Like it Hot to be a fun read. Jackie has a likable personality. She is completely down to earth, which makes her easy to relate too and she also had a wicked sense of humor with lots of sarcasm. She definitely makes for a great narrator.

As a romance reader, I do struggle with the fact that Jackie is currently juggling two men in her lives. She has Zane, her vampire maker and Noah, her fallen angel both falling over themselves to be with her. At times Jackie comes across as more than a little selfish. Some of it is out of her control as she is a succubi after all, but some of it seems just a part of her personality. There were a few instances when I was actually annoyed with Jackie always thinking of herself first.

I do enjoy the writing and the world building. For a paranormal, it has a more campy feel to it. Although, certain parts of the story are heavier than expected given the overall lighthearted writing style. I definitely plan on reading more in this series to see where things are headed. I am enjoying the journey so far. I enjoy Jackie and her escapades.

Succubi Like It Hot was a good book. A lot of things happen and you don't really get that much boring. Jill Myles is an awesome author and she writes really good novels. But what i didn't notice in book one (or probably just ignored, which i couldn't now...) was that Jackie is quite whiny, like really whiny and really make everything about her.. And for me it becomes to freaking much of it.. I mean, HELLO, other people suffers as well! And in this book, she took it almost to far for my tast.. and thats why i give so little stars. I hope #3 gets alot better where we get to see a woman who cares about others and who becomes independent. + im team Zane, and its freaking time that she chooses who she wants!

"Succubi like it hot" is the second installment in the Succubus Diaries series by Jill Myles.
After reading "Gentlemen Prefer Succubi", there was no doubt that I would read on.
I was glad I bought both at the same time, because I wasn't waiting longer than I had to, to read the next book.

"Gentlemen Prefer Succubi", may have ended on a restful note, but it didn't stay that way for long. Starting off, Jackie has the "Itch". The "itch" is when a succubus's sexual needs surface, and she's left panting for another body. It cannot be controlled without sex, and though she hates to reply on someone else in that way so often, it's better than doing it with strangers. So her master's Noah and Zane are always close to help the "itch". How very noble of them...
Sounds like a pretty sweet deal right? Wrong. Noah and Zane, hate eachother. First they hate eachothers "kind" , Noah being a Serim and Zane being a vampire, but now they have to share the woman they care for, and it really doesn't help that she cares for them both.
But that's the least of Jackie's problems. Things are getting weird, people she touches falls into a coma, and she can't return them to themselves. She's getting the "itch" way more than nessassary, and Remy thinks she's cursed. They take a road trip to New Orleans to talk to a VooDoo expert, only to be followed. Her best friend is possessed and she doesn't know who to trust, or who cursed her. She' really in deep trouble now.

This was even better than the first installment. More action, more deciet, and believe it not, more sex. I can see this is shaping up to be a new favorite of mine.

Things were looking pretty good for Jackie at the end of Gentlemen Prefer Succubi. With a gorgeous daytime angel lover Noah and a hot bad boy vampire Zane for the nights, Jackie had it all - 'breakfast' in bed and a yummy 'midnight snack' too. But while having two luscious men to keep her well fed was working out just fine for Jackie, both men aren't happy about sharing and both want her to choose. And now to make matters even worse, when both guys are thinking about putting her on a diet 'til she picks just one of them, all of a sudden she's cursed and her 'itch' is coming on harder and more frequently - what's a succubus to do?

Overall I liked Succubi Likes It Hot and I liked it better than the first book, but I still had issues with the first half of the book. Jackie's curse means that trouble is piling up rapidly but she still has the ability to make things so much worse. Although I guess it's necessary for Myles to drive off Jackie's readily available food supply, and granted if she can't break the curse she'll starve to death, but I still didn't like Jackie's self-centeredness when it came to dealing with Noah and Zane, it felt more like she just using them and less like she really cared for them.

Still, those nits aside, the last half of the book really gets rolling and the resolution to the curse, and the truth and consequences related to Zane's abandonment 'made' the story for me and I ending up liking the book and it's mix of humor and steam well enough that I will likely hunt down the third book as Jackie and Noah head off to Jackie's first 'dig'.

OMG...this was a great follow up book to the first one in the series. I love Jackie. She continues to learn about her new and improved self and what it's costing her. I love Noah and Zane but Zane is the one who makes the biggest sacrifice of all of them. I really respected that vampire. There is adventure, action, and love contain in these pages. And even though Jackie is now a succubus she still had her standards. Go ahead read this series, I know you'll enjoy it as much has I have. Looking for the next installment in December 2010.

Great story. Hot. Steamy.. and that's not because the story lands in New Orleans. Jackie, Noah, Zane and Remy have a lot of explaining to do! Add in the Queen of Darkness (again) and Luc (unknown factor until the end) and a whole lot of people falling asleep without their knowledge and you know that somehow our new succubus is involved. And just how does a girl choose who the love of her life will be when she has TWO fallen angels at her beck and call?

When we left Jackie after the events of Gentlemen Prefer Succubi, she was coming to terms with her new succubus lifestyle and trying to juggle two incredible, sexy men who were responsible for her situation. There’s the fallen angel Noah, her one night stand who is a sweet and tender gentleman. Then there is Zane, that dark and seductive vampire who frustrates her, but also channels her inner wild bad girl. They’re not too thrilled in sharing her, especially Noah. Zane thinks Jackie will eventually drop gentleman lover boy and come running to him. But Jackie hates to choose because she has strong feelings for both these men and they are more than willing to give her a hand whenever her sexual itch arises. In Succubi Like It Hot, not only does Jackie have to keep her itch under control, but she has been cursed and needs to find a way to break it and fast before she shrivels up and dies, overcome with lust that will never be quenched.

Jackie Brighton’s life from all outside purposes looks to be perfect. She has an amazing new job working for the New City University’s archeology department, a great sex kitten look that makes the men go wild and new interesting friends, such as Remy, another succubus who works as a porn star and Noah, who is more than willing to be her date to any University functions that pops up, as well as wanting to be her exclusive boyfriend. Unfortunately, Jackie can stay away from Zane who tends to her needs when Noah can’t. Jackie thinks having both these men at her disposal is great. Noah hates sharing Jackie because as a Serim, he doesn’t get along with vampires and wants Jackie to commit to him and issues an ultimatum.

With Zane no where to be found, Jackie drowns her woes in sappy movies and pizza. When she touches the pizza guy, he falls to sleep at her feet and won’t wake up. She calls Remy for help since the men in her life are giving her the cold shoulder. Remy has seen tells Jackie she has been cursed and if she doesn’t find a cure, her itch will intensify where she’ll need sex not only every few days but almost every hour until she’ll wilt away and die. Plus she can’t touch anyone who is human or they will fall sleep also. They end up in a cemetery where they try to locate an angel to help them, but instead meet up with a demon who gives Jackie some advice and in turn needs a favor. The favor involves going to New Orleans and visiting Delilah, the oldest succubus in America.

Instead of flying by plane, Remy recommends a road trip because she wants to publicize her new movie. Jackie asks Zane to come along with them, mainly because she needs him to keep her itch from taking over her every thought and emotion. When he agrees in the heat of the moment, she thinks everything will turn out okay. But then Zane finds out she’s cursed and splits. Now this has become a road trip to hell for her and Remy. Not only does an evil demon that has possessed Remy’s body take over at the most inopportune moments, but Jackie is being stalked by a sexy French guy named Luc who wants to be her knight in shining armor. She makes a big mistake when it comes to him and does something that could ruin her chances with both Noah and Zane. Dead bodies start to line up wherever Jackie goes and when she finally gets to New Orleans and meets Delilah, she finds out that someone close to her may have given her the curse and it may be on of her two lovers.

I have to hand it to Jill Myles for writing a sequel that really came together for me. The main problems I found in regards to her writing in her first book is missing here. This sequel is a big improvement with many rip roaring laughs. I had a huge smile all the way through while I read, and felt so bad for Jackie because the poor girl finds herself in the most awkward of scrapes. I can’t help but adore Jackie because her reactions to things and internal thoughts are one of the main reasons to pick up this book.

There are also some nice subtle twists you won’t see coming, especially with Zane. Readers may find themselves torn again between who is better for Jackie and the way Zane reacts to Jackie’s curse will have you wanting to strangle him. Keep in mind this is all for a good reason. But again, Jill makes a great case for both these suitors for Jackie’s body and heart, and a part of me really doesn’t want her to choose even though I am more inclined to side with Zane.

One of my favorite things when reading about a character like Jackie is that her morals are always intact. If she wanted to, she could live up her succubus lifestyle to the max where she can go through men like tissues. But Jackie doesn’t do that. She is faithful to those she cares about, and even though she swings back and forth between Noah and Zane, you can totally understand why.

Succubi Like It Hot is really a heartfelt book with unique characters, loopy drama and fun action. If you’re feeling under the weather emotionally and need some cheer and laughs, do give Succubi Like it Hot a go. This is definitely one hot and engaging read that gave me the warm and fuzzies until the very last page.

“Succubi Like it Hot” (Paranormal, Pocket, 335 pages, $7.99), by Jill Myles: Jackie Brighton, the frumpy museum-guide-turned-sexy succubus, is back with her paranormal posse for another adventure in Jill Myles’ “Succubi Like it Hot.”

In Myles’ debut, “Gentlemen Prefer Succubi,” Jackie is turned into a succubus after she is drained by a vampire named Zane and engages in sex with a fallen angel named Noah. The men, who are bitter enemies, become Jackie’s masters. They are forced to hibernate at different times, Zane during the day and Noah at night, which is convenient for Jackie because she doesn’t need sleep at all.

In the latest edition, Jackie discovers she’s been cursed. Her craving for sex, which she calls “the itch,” has been happening more frequently. If she doesn’t find a way to break the curse, she’ll be overcome by her cravings and die. Teaming up with her succubus sidekick, popular porn star Remy Summore, they hit the road to seek the assistance of the oldest succubus in America.

On a trip to New Orleans, Jackie discovers little tidbits about her masters, which raise questions about her relationships. Zane appears to abandon Jackie during her time of need and Noah is keeping a secret from her.

Myles’ second book in “The Succubus Diaries” series far exceeds her debut. The first, which dealt with Jackie’s transformation from sap to sexpot, portrayed her as an annoying neophyte. It made one wonder why a fallen angel and a vampire would choose to be with her.

Jackie is now a confident woman who has lots of steamy sex with her lovers. But this book is not all about sex. Her adventures with Remy will make you laugh out loud, especially during their visit to the cemetery to consult the spirits. And there are new characters that will intrigue and amuse, like the deal-making demon Mae and the mysterious Luc, who turns up wherever Jackie goes.

The most appealing part is when Jackie manages to save herself without the assistance of her absent masters. But questions remain. Does Zane have a sinister plan? What repercussions did Noah face for turning Jackie into a succubus? And most important, which man will she choose?

Hopefully more answers will come in Myles’ third installment, “My Fair Succubi,” scheduled for release in December.

If you are someone that likes your PNR to stay with one partner and have a HEA you may want to move on along, this may not be for you. Now if you can get past the no HEA and go more on the wild side with more than two partners then please give this a try. I have to say, I'm one of those HEA freak's that found this a great read. I want to add Jill is a very talented writer. I’m glad I went on and read the second book.

I felt this book was a lot better than the first. Jackie did not get on my nerves like the last book. She is still selfish but with everything that has happened I guess I would be also.

This book is about a unique road trip with murder, mystery, a voodoo madam, hot sex, a stalker, a demon, possessions by demons, betrayal, humor, along with the gorgeous vamp and angel masters. But wait there is another hot guy thrown in the mix this time. You have to read to see what he is up to.

**Little spoilers below **

Jackie has a curse placed on her and has to go across country to find Delia, another succubi, so she can get the curse removed. Remy has a hard why to go with the possession by Joachim, he keeps wanting to take over. Together Remy and Jackie set out for there road trip and they both get along better this time around. There is still no HEA in this book in the end:(

This series has a great vibe. The characters are humorous and fun to follow in their ridiculous travels. Between the previously dorky new succubus and her slutty mentor who is also a porn star succubus, I was laughing quite a bit. Love the two love interests, but I think I am partial to Noah-- he seems a bit more trustworthy than lover number 2, vampire Zane.

I can't wait to see what kind of trouble they get into in the next book.

I loved Succubi Prefer Gentlemen. Loved it. But I loved Succubi Like it Hot even more, and I didn't think that would be possible.
Jilly Myles has successfully hooked me into her imaginary world of succubi, vamps, warlocks and demons...oh and smutty porn stars! This book literally got a giggle out of me on every page. Okay, so when is the next one out? I want to read it, now!

Both, "Gentlemen Prefer Succubi" and "Succubi Like It Hot" were fabulous reads! I really like Ms. Myles, cast of charaters. They are wickedly fun. Frist, you add a newly made succubus, then you throw in a super hot, fallen angel, combine with a handsome, bad boy, vampire. Blended together they make two splendid reads!

The next book in the series is "My Fair Succubi", doesn't come out until December 2010. I hate to wait.

It's been awhile since I read the first book so as I was reading the book I was trying to remember who and who. I liked this book, but I remember how Jackie looked and was treated before her change and I liked that the first book talked about her having to change her mindset. I wish this book dealt a little with that too but it was pretty much, "Yes, I'm hot, let's have sex." So not like she was in the beginning. I'm planning on reading the third book. 3-1/2 stars.

Another very enjoyable read by Jill Myles, the two main male characters in this series are so likable, I want them both, lol.
This book was just as fast paced as the first, not a dull moment.
I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series.

Solid 3.5 stars

This one had a better storyline than the first but I still have trouble overlooking some of the tropes. Silly women being rescued by men kinds of things. The sex is very hot and frequent, however.

I'd actually give this one 3.5 stars. I did enjoy it, but at times I felt that the story lagged unnecessarily. Still fun, though, and I definitely think the whole series so far is worth reading. On to Book 3 of this set for me!

More shenanigans in this book. Remy and Jackie sure know how to get in to trouble. :) Jackie is still kind of dumb, which I like, and she means well with all of her blunders. She's just uneducated in the new lifestyle she is living. Doesn't help that her "friends" are still keeping secrets.

As sexy and funny as the first. But who do you choose, the gorgous fallen angel or the sexy badboy vampire ? Lifes choices are so hard.

Noah, Jackie and Zane... 3.5 stars!

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first, it lacked the humour and hotness I soooooo enjoyed previously.

On to book 2.5...

In the second installment of The Succubus Diaires – Succubi Like It Hot, I found everything I was hoping for in this series: an action-packed paranormal romance, a great love triangle, hotter sex scenes, lots of humor, and a strong(er) female lead character.

In the last book, Gentlemen Prefer Succubi, Jackie loses her job as docent in the museum, but in the sequel, she gets a new job with the New City University’s archaeological team. We begin the book at a fundraiser for the department when Jackie’s Itch makes its presence known. Good thing Noah is around to help our girl out – only something’s wrong with Noah, and he’s not too keen on having sex with Jackie.

The problem? Noah tells Jackie he wants the “C” word – and Jackie pales at the thought. Apparently, our girl Jackie has been having her cake and eating it, too – jumping from Zane’s arms at night, and going to Noah’s in the daytime, so “Commitment” is the furthest thing from her mind.

Noah leaves, saying he’s tired of playing Jackie’s mind games and he’ll come back when she’s ready to be with him and only him. It’s an uncomfortable ride back to Jackie’s house, but our girl is left to make do with a cold shower and pizza while she waits for Zane to sate her desires. While she waits, she realizes her Itch is coming sooner than expected, but before she can ponder if something is wrong, the pizza delivery boy arrives at her door. Then after an casual touch, the delivery boy is out cold, and Jackie can’t revive him.

Panicking, Jackie calls Remy, her fellow Succubus and friend, to help her out. In the first book, Remy accidentally absorbs a fallen angel’s – Joachim – halo in her and is sometimes possessed by this evil entity, though by book 2, Remy gains control over the pesky intruder. Remy tells Jackie she thinks she might be cursed and they need to get some help to find out how they can reverse it.

Afraid to go to a church and seek out an angel (who will no doubt use them for their own gains) they opt instead to go to a graveyard for help. There they meet Mae, a demoness who confirms that Jackie has been cursed. In exchange for the information, Jackie must go to New Orleans and seek out another Succubus – Delilah and give her a message.

Remy knows Delilah – a brothel madam and voodoo priestess – and agrees to take Jackie there, but only if Jackie agrees to pose as her assistant and make a few stops to promote Remy’s new porn movie along the way.

Jackie reluctantly agrees and manages to get Zane to go with her for when her Itch makes its presence. Zane realizes something is wrong and after a hottt scene between him and Jackie, our girl confesses she’s been cursed. Visibly shaken, Zane does the unexpected and leaves Jackie. No longer being able to depend on either Noah or Zane to help her out in her time of need, Jackie’s world seems to crumble. Then in comes Luc, a sexy French guy who’s shrouded in mystery.

Red flags go off whenever Luc, the sexy stranger, is around and trouble brews as a growing trail of unconscious people (unfortunate humans Jackie touches), and dead bodies crop up, leading Jackie to believe that someone is definitely out to get her. But having racked up so many enemies, it’s hard for her to find out exactly who it is. Everything comes out at Jackie in this book and you’ll be left wondering – will she survive long enough to find out who this new sexy French stranger is, or will the curse and her secret enemy get to her first?

. . .

I just loved this book! There were so many different plot lines and twists masterfully crafted and intertwined in this book, you’ll never find a dull moment! Not having Noah and Zane to fall back on, and Remy being Remy – Jackie has only herself to rely on in this book – and boy is she quick on her feet :)

. . .

There are several hilarious scenes I couldn’t get enough of and we get to see Jackie’s resourcefulness and sharp wit come forth. There are so many roadblocks in Jackie’s way, you’ll be amazed at how Jackie handles them all.

1) There’s definitely something up with Luc, but with his sexy French accent and physique, what’s a Succubus to do when the Itch hits and her two boyfriends are MIA? ;)

2) Delilah has got the hots for Noah and the New Orleans madam wants nothing more than to get Jackie out of her way. Will Delilah play fair and help Jackie?

3) Though Remy has a handle on herself for most of the book, Joachim, the evil entity she’s absorbed, comes out to play, making more problems than poor Jackie can handle.

4) The demoness, Mae, is just such an awesomely wicked character – I loved her part in this book! I hope she comes back again in other installments of the series. But she definitely throws a wrench in Jackie’s plans and you won’t believe what carrying her message will cost Jackie.

5) You’ll never believe who’s trying to kill Jackie and the lengths this person goes to in trying to get rid of her.

5) The love triangle SUPER HEATS up in this installment as both Noah and Zane struggle with sharing Jackie’s attention. Jill Myles accomplishes in this book something that no other author has ever managed to do with me. I CAN’T PICK A TEAM! LOL

Noah and Zane are just so night and day (literally) and they both undergo HUGE sacrifices to show Jackie just how much they love her. I can’t pick between them! No wonder Jackie’s running from one hot bed to the other LOL

In this book I was leaning towards Team Zane, but then Noah isn’t far behind the trail, and aww that sexy angel pulls on my heart stings! *fans self* I just can’t take how much in love I am with both of these characters! How in the world is Jackie going to choose between them?

. . .

I’m so glad I continued this series, now I can’t wait to see what happens next! :)

I was feeling nostalgic, so I wanted to re-read these. There's just something so fun about this series, though it can get dark real fast. I just love the world that Jill Myles created in this series. How succubi come to be, what the curse involves, how these characters are tied together by different bonds - be they paranormal or friendship.

It started so well but then just seemed to go ridiculously downhill and I couldn't believe half of what I was reading. I mean, I know the series isn't the most serious with a porn star best friend and all but still... I just struggled with it from about the 20% mark.

I won't be continuing the series
