Talented, gorgeous, and just as desirable as his on-screen alter egos Edward Cullen and Cedric Diggory, Robert Pattinson has won himself millions of devoted fans. With this full-length biography of the silver-screen sensation, fans can learn everything there is to know about Robert—from his childhood in London, his private school education, and his early success with the Barnes Theatre Company to his modeling career and current star status. Intimately exploring Robert's life, this book includes his expert musicianship (he plays the guitar and piano), his inspirations and ambitions, and the inside story of his other film roles. Lifting the lid on the life of one of Britain's most popular exports, this book has the inside scoop fans are thirsting for.
I’m not sure why I read this tbh? It was a gift and I was out of non-fiction? Main problem with this biography is that’s it’s super repetitive. I also kinda felt the author (obviously a doting RPatz fan, which shows in her lack of objectivity throughout the entire book) was trying to make up for the trivial (sorry Rob love ya) subject by using unneccesarily difficult words. It had a lot of content I already knew but here and there it managed to surprise me with some cool info - particularly on the subject of Twilight, obviously - so I’m not sorry I read this I guess. Only interesting for true fans though!
This book is terrible. I mean, I like Rob as much as the next girl... well, actually, probably not as much as most girls... He is a great actor, but this book does no-one justice.
The book circles his life.. but not well. You find out what films he's been in (hurraahhh - you can do that on many sites on the internet) and after each film, the author gives us a few paragraphs of the plot. And this is done EVERY TIME. Which is increasingly annoying. The book goes of course in so many ways - it's supposed to be about Robert Pattinson, but it rambles on about movie reviews, bit of info about how many 'hottest man' lists he's been in, Stephanie Meyer, and the fans wanted to play the characters in the Twilight movies. THAT INFORMATION IS NOT ABOUT ROB.
This is supposed to be a biography, but all it is is a load of crap information about twilight, other movies and such that you can find out by searching on the internet.
To be fair, there are SOME things about Rob in here. But it's not worth the read.
Oh, and the only thing I found remotely intreresting in this book are the very nice pictures of Rob.
I got this book from a friend of a beloved friend and it's about a person I absolutely adore, so it's kind of special to me in every way. Although I have been a fan of Rob for a long long time, I never bought a book written about him. Just because I thought it wouldn't add anything to that what I already know. Still this unauthorized biography pleased me and I'm happy to own it.
I think I can recommend this to all Rob's fans. It describes his life in the early days; from the day he was born up to the filming of the Twilight Saga movie New Moon. During the book the author refers to her sources, so you can easily look that up, check it out and find more information about the event/subject. Especially when you came late on the Rob-train it's nice to get up to date about that period of his life.
Over all I knew everything that was written in this book, but there were some little nice details that were new to me and I really liked the pretty photos of great quality that are included. It was definitely an enjoyable read.
I really don’t know why this rekindled my love for reading? Like why did THIS pull me out of my slump? It was very repetitive and the information it provided is super easy to access just by googling Roberts name, but there was something so funny about this that I just loved. Maybe it was the fact that this book is an UNAUTHORISED biography, which is hilarious as its obvious a Twilight girlie wrote this book out of pure love for Rob. The amount of weird adjectives used to describe Rob were wonderful, I had so much fun. I also found it very fun reading about all the insights into the Hollywood scene and just in general, I found it interesting to learn about Robs start to his career. However the information in this book is very biased as obviously it’s written by a Robert Pattinson fan and not by him himself. There’s a lot of assumptions made. So in conclusion, I don’t know why I liked this so much, but it was a lot of fun !!
This reads like a cut and paste biography, with the authors research comprising of lookng up information on the internet. Nothing in the book could not have been read elsewhere. I suppose his teenage fans will like it but if I had spent money on this I would have felt very cheated.
Has not given me anything new. I think the author has relied more on explaining to us what each film Robert has made is about instead of telling curious facts.
Not for me. I like Robert but I didn't like this style of biography. It was highly opinionated, used a lot of subjective language and focussed more on his co stars and characters than Robert himself. A great deal of the information in the book is and always has been easy to find on google, not a lot of research or effort into putting this book together sorry.
Charting Robert Pattinson's rise to fame with some interesting interviews from throughout this career. Didn't tell me an awful lot that I didn't already know but still an enjoyable read and had some fabulous pictures. I want to watch 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' again now!
its a great book... gives u a total insight of wat my heartthrob ROBERT is like.... i adored the character EDWARD CULLEN bt after reading the book i love more traits of robert pattinson n now i can say that i like robert pattinson n his characteristics n not Edward cullen
