Aryan Invasion theory now called as Aryan migration theory was based on the linguistic assumption that people that spoke Proto-Indo-European came from Steppe grasslands into India, Iran and Europe. This justifies that the so called upper caste of India such as Brahmins were outsiders and not natives. They colonized Indian natives similar to European settlers of Americas. This book does a good job of counter some of the assumptions made. It doesn’t counter Indo-European connections and the language family challenges that there was no invasion and whether the migration was significant to change Indian culture as claimed.
